“Very friendly and comfortable.”

Great location, friendly and helpfull Guesthouse, we had the Suite, which has its own front door, lounge, shower room and bedroom in the back away from the street noise.

Great view from the bedroom over the river, it was nice to have our breakfast delivered to our room, we felt very special. Plenty of choice for breakfast also.

We would recommend it.

Room Tip: Back rooms are quieter, one of our nights was a Sunday and it was very quite in the street that nigh...

Cornerstones Guesthouse is worthy of it's 5 star rating. It is clean and comfortable with many thoughtful touches. We particularly enjoyed the TV with built in DVD player in the suite - all the comforts of home.
Beautiful breakfast served in our suite - very much looking forward to a return visit.
Would thoroughly recommend.

I have stopped here a couple of times now, for a total over the two visits of five nights. Both times I have had the River Room.
The place is very clean, full of character and just so very peaceful. The last time that I stopped in early march I had enjoyed a fairly boisterous night out with senior management on the town.
It was lovely to come back to such a comfortable & relaxing room with its wonderful view to the back of the building.

The staff are loveley. The breakfasts are of the very highest quality abd would not be out of place in a top five star hotel.

I am really looking forward to my next visit.

Thankyou Cornerstones

Room Tip: Having been shown around, I would say that they are all good

This place feels like a luxury boutique hotel, inside but I was disappointed to not be met at the door. Had to telephone to get someone to let us in. Nice room, but quite small, but the bathroom was so huge and luxurious it made up for it. The River Dee thundered by as there had been lots of rain, and that was wonderful...a really special dramatic view. Breakfast was good, but I found the service not very smiley or friendly. Parking is a bit of a pain as you have to go and move the car to the front before you load up your bags. Gales wine bar opposite has fabulous food though. If you want a special night away to celebrate a new relationship, or anniversary, this would be quite hard to beat really. The log fire downstairs and decor are pretty tasteful...though there were too many cushions on the bed.

Room Tip: River view and big bathroom were great but cannot comment on other rooms as didn't see them.

We have literally just returned from a super two-night break at Cornerstones. We stayed in, 'The Suite' which runs from the front to the back of the building. The 'snug' bedroom overlooks the river; a stunning view; the bedroom fronts directly onto the street and has its own front door.

Although The Suite is 'compact' it was lovely to stay in a bed and breakfast that has a separate 'living area'. Being able to come 'home' in the evening and sit on a comfortable sofa, watching TV is a n added luxury!

The bed was amazingly comfortable - it was hard to get up in the morning! Breakfast was lovely. In our own 'lounge' there was a table set for two with cereals and porridge. We had to phone a given number fifteen minutes before we wanted serving (ordering from a menu). Breakfast comprising fresh fruit salad, yoghurt; a cooked meal and toast, was delivered through a door in the centre of the suite, which goes directly to the cellar and kitchens. It was a luxurious touch to eat in our own room and with waitress service! Staff were polite and friendly.

Supplies of cakes, biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate were kept topped up throughout our visit, and a lovely touch were the chocolate easter eggs and the Lindt Chocolate Bunnies on the pillows. Toiletries, towels, bathrobes, hairdryer, straighteners, wine cooler, a weenie fridge (large enough for the jug of fresh milk provided, but not large enough for cans or bottles of wine), wine cooler, sherry and tissues were some of the extras provided.

Parking was not a problem; permit provided and all car parks less than five minutes walk away.

Opposite Cornerstones is a nice wine bar; there is a Chinese restaurant/ take-away next door and there are three or four pubs in Bridge Street. Noise from the street was not sufficient to cause any disturbance.

Unfortunately, for very sad reasons we were unable to meet Carol. However, we met Karen who was lovely.

All in all a fantastic place to stay - thoroughly recommended. Thank you Cornerstones!

Room Tip: The Suite is good for those wanting a separate 'living' area, and being served breakfast in...

First time staying in a luxury 5* B&B and think it will be the 1st of many!
Booked as a surprise for My partner and I, we stayed in the oak room. The room was both spacious, warm and very homely with lovely touches. Had a beautiful breakfast with all the trimmings (fresh and most of all HOT!!)

Would recommend this to anyone for a quiet get away. Really well enjoyed, shame it was only for one night.

BIG THANKS :)
