Booked a 4 night stay as my first ever visit to Wales, I knew from the pictures it looked stunning but on arrival it was even more so. The surrounding area is unspoiled, it was a pleasure to sit outside each morning and drink in the views and at night enjoy some star gazing. The chapel has been beautifully and sympathetically converted, I loved the decor, the quirkiness of the layout with the internal arched window. Sadly my experience of holiday rentals has resulted in me arriving armed with a small selection of cleaning products but they were redundant as the place was spotless. Nick was welcoming and informative but never obtrusive despite being adjacent (his house looks amazing!) It was lovely to hear the cocks crowing and geese gaggling, a real taste of the country. If you like period properties and interiors with good quality furnishings and fittings, this is your place. Super comfy bed, which can be a rarity in some cottages. Great location for visiting Chester, Chirk Castle, Powis Castle and many other historical places of interest. I even managed a steam train ride to the top of Snowdon, which was only 1hr and a half away. Loved it and will definitely be back
