“Hell of a climb”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

Fantastic views from the top but the ruins themselves are not up to much. The castle is old but was only lived in for 20 years. Not a lot of info on the site itself. Be warned, it was a steep climb although the paths are good.

“a view to savor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

We made the summit to Dinas Bran via the historical route walk around the town. We had lovely weather v pleasant sunshine and light breeze. I wouldn't fancy doing the summit in the rain and wet,

The walk to the summit is arduos and not for the un fit. When you get to the top fantastic views of the local area can be found..The two questions have to be asked, why did they build the castle here - obvious answer - prime viewpoint , more difficult to answer, how did they build it ?

“Excellent Views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

It is a fair trek uphill to the castle, about a mile from Llangollen, but is definitely worth it! The castle itself is ruins but interesting to see how it would have looked, and the views are stunning. If you like walking, can do plenty of walks from the castle. We loved it.

Great place to visit if you are in Llangollen on a good path, a bit steep but well worth the climb. Take a picnic if you can
