We visited for my partners 40th birthday. The food was really great with a two course menu for £10. Food was very good, good presentation and good vegetarian options. We had a long lunch which our female server was very happy to accommodate us and leave us as long as we wanted.

Would highly recommend it - after being disappointed with local pubs this was a rare gem.

We will be back for more. We really enjoyed our lunch in this hidden away gem in Conwy North Wales. We chose the 2 course £10 a head meals and couldn't fault them. The portions were just right for us (we prefer less food). The thought into presentation and taste combinations was the best I'll tasted in a long time. We recommend the pulled pork & BBQ sauce served on a brioche and a bowl of cheese topped home made chips and side salad. Delicious. Field mushroom soup was tasty and quite filling too. The short bread stack with Chantilly and red berry compote was nicely presented and tasted good. Banana fritters and toffee sauce was the pudding of the day was also enjoyed. The cheese platter was well worth the £1.50 supplement with plenty of mature cheeses, biscuits & crackers, fruits and chutney. The merlot was too sharp for us and they changed it for the malbec-shiraz which was better. We were so full we didn't eat supper that evening. Excellent and thank you. HInt. The restaurant is hidden away on a 1 way street without parking. It is at the south end of chapel street and a good place to park is on the hill by the castle wall ( £1.50 for 4 hours) about 300m away,

Visited this restaurant last week whilst on holiday with our 2 children. Excellent choice of dishes with the early evening menu being very good value - 2 courses for £15. Whilst prices are comparable to many other restaurants in the area the food was of a superior quality. Staff were very friendly and welcomed the children. Kids menu was one of the best we have seen. Would recommending booking for a weekend night as we just managed to squeeze in on a Friday night.

We went for a birthday celebration and were delighted. The food/service /atmosphere were all great. Nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was fab. The fresh bread was delicious, the little dish of popcorn with cheese and pepper unusual but very tasty. The lemon and thyme sorbet was a delicious palate cleanser between courses. Top marks for being so child friendly too.. several families were in eating tonight. The children can eat from their own menu or smaller portions off the adult menu. The menu clearly shows which items are gluten free etc. Although it might cost a few pounds more than some other eateries in the area we think it is definitely worth it because the whole experience makes you feel special.
