Description: With its imposing castle and extensive town walls, Conwy boasts some of the finest military architecture in Europe. The castle and the town it dramatically overlooks both date from the late 13th century, and were laid out on the orders of King Edward I following his victory over the Welsh Prince Llywelyn ap Gruffudd. Conwy Castle was one of a chain of fortresses built to secure the English King's hold on North Wales, and was completed in just five years under the supervision of Edward's master Mason, James of St George. Fast-forward hundreds of years and Conwy still remains one of the most spectacular towns in North Wales with history around every corner. Whatever the occasion, we promise to make it one that you and your guests will remember for many years to come. With a full banquet menu along with a tailored one-to-one service to your tastes and budget, The Mulberry is perfect venue for weddings, civil partnerships, christenings, birthdays and wakes.

My wife and I decided to have afternoon lunch here, with a promising new menu, since a recent change of hands. Oh dear; we wont be visiting again. We were told on ordering food, there may have been a delay, but between 15-20 mins. Our starter took 45 mins and was ok, not great, but having waited so long, we were very hungry. Fair play, we were given a couple of free drinks for waiting so long. We then waited almost another hour for our mains, and when it did arrive, most of it was cold, and was very disappointing indeed. Not worth the price we had paid. So we, along with many others that day asked for a refund and left hungry. This restaurant has so much potential, but has let itself down really badly. Such a shame.....

The Mulberry has been open for a number of years now and whilst it is fine for a summer drink, I would recommend that no one eats there. As a resident of Conwy for 18 years and having now moved away, a previous bad experience in 2005 (under different owners) meant that when friends suggested eating there on 31 Dec, I was somewhat hesitant. As always, the pub is well decorated and the situation is stunning. However, we had to wait 1 hour 20 minutes for jacket potatoes and at no time did the manager let us know what the delay was. We had to go and ask twice and were on the verge of asking for a full refund when the most unappealing food was served up to us, somewhat under cooked and the topping was clearly straight from a tub. If you can't prepare a jacket potato properly, what hope is there for something more substantial. This is a place with so much potential and yet people are let down time and time again ..... look at the reviews on here. Go there for a drink and a chat, but vote with your wallet and don't eat there until they do something about the quality of the food, It really isn't worth it,

Three of us went here for lunch but had to wait over 1.5 hours for it to arrive, there was no warning of a delay when we placed our order, also the staff gave us no update of progress. Apparently only 1 chef was on duty. When the food did arrive it was disappointing, jacket potato with chicken had far too much mayo on it, the soup and sandwich were basic compared to others you can order nearby. With great views of Conwy Marina it's such a shame the food and service quality let the pub down.
