“Great Place”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

This was a very, very good B and B. t has a great location at the foot of the city wall and is easily walkable from all parts of the city. The rooms are roomy, clean and neat - this B and B pays great attention to detail and it shows. The breakfast was very good - fresh fruit and juice as well as a variety of options from cereal to eggs. Alison who runs the place is very friendly and helpful. We have stayed in B an B's all over the world and his one of the best - we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Potential noise and accessibility to public transportation.

Lovely B&B with everything you need for a great stay in a good location. Attention to detail is excellent and nothing too much trouble. Would definetly stay here again. Great value for money and delicious homemade welsh cakes with breakfast!

Room Tip: Room 4 was very nice

The Bryn Guest House was a convenient base to explore Conwy and the surrounding area of Snowdonia National Park. One could not be any closer to the walled city without being inside the walls themselves as the car park abuts part of the old walls. Room 3 almost gives you the impression that your are sleeping on the walls themselves. This makes for an easy walk to Conwy Town, Conwy Castle and the "waterfront".

Upon arrival we were greeted by Nick and shown our room that looks out over one of the gates into the city. Our initial concerns that we would be disturbed by street noise were dissuaded the first night when the road traffic disappeared after 9PM. Breakfast was served in a bright room at the front of the house facing the city. A small "library" contained a helpful collection of maps, travel books, guides and information for nearby attractions. Alison was an amiable host in the morning and cooked your English breakfast to order. All and all a nice place to stay in Conwy.

The Bryn Guest House is fantastic. Great location, great food, clean really well appointed rooms with everything you would expect from a great b&b (TV, good bed, really nice bathroom etc.) I would recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Bryn Guest House for just one night as a halfway house between our home in Yorkshire and our final holiday destination in North Tipperary, Ireland. We arrived early which wasn't a problem and we were greeted warmly by Alison who welcomed us very warmly into her lovely guest house. Parking was off road in the little courtyard at the back of the house and felt very secure and handy for transporting our luggage. We stayed in Room 4 which had a separate wonderfully tasteful bathroom with stand alone bath and dish head shower. Our bedroom had lots of windows and beautiful views across to the castle and the surrounding areas. We wandered into Conwy for fish and chips by the sea and stumbled across a lovely little ale bar just around the corner from Bryn which served wonderful local ales, cider and bar snacks. We regret that we couldn't remember the name of the place but it was very cosy and just what the doctor ordered as a good start to our holiday. After a very well rested nights sleep we had a lovely breakfast cooked by Alison, sampling home made 'welsh cakes' for the first time, before we departed for our ferry crossing to Ireland.

Its a shame our visit was so short, We would definitely go back and stay at Bryn.

This is the best place to stay in Conwy! Great location, the whole town was within an easy walk. Alison & Nick are very welcoming and work well together. Alison cooks a great breakfast (the homemade bread especially) and they keep you laughing. Had wonderful tips, restaurant recommendations and directions. Our triple room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Knowing we were in the UK for a month, she happily did some laundry for us.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Bryn. Fantastic location and views with lovely gardens and good parking facilities.
The room was spotless as was the modern bathroom with a good selection of refreshments and toiletries.
Our friendly hostess served a lovely, locally sourced cooked breakfast with toast made from home baked bread. There was also a fine selection of fruit, cereal and yogurt on display.
Will be our first choice next time.
