“Great location, comfy, cozy cottage”
Reviewed July 12, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Isallt was the perfect spot for our family - my husband, myself and 2 young adult daughters. Easy location for day trips to Snowdonia, Anglesy, Caernarfon, and more. We loved that we were inside the town walls and could walk everywhere in the very special town of Conwy - a small and welcoming place. Walked the castle walls numerous times. Beachy vibe. The only difficulty (minor) was parking - very tight spaces, but we were able to find street parking and just walk everywhere! The house is small, but the bedrooms spacious and spotless. Skinny steps upstairs - not good if a person is impaired, but no problem otherwise. Amenities exactly as presented. If you are looking for super luxury, this is not the place, but if you want clean, comfortable and welcoming, this is it!

“A lovely little cottage in a perfect location”
Reviewed June 2, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Isallt is situated in a very quiet narrow road away from traffic noise, but is only a minute or two's walk from the riverside and all the shops, pubs and eateries so for us it was a perfect location.

We were only there for three nights, but it comes equipped with everything you need for a longer stay - washing machine, dishwasher, bbq, dvd player, Wi-Fi etc. It even has a few shelves well stocked with books, board games and jigsaw puzzles if you happen to be unlucky with the weather! The boiler seems to be on a pre-set timer, because there were five of us and we never ran out of hot water.

We were four adults and a child and at the owner's suggestion the bedrooms were made up with the third bed (a futon) in the twin-bedded room. This is probably the usual way of making it up for a family with two adults and three kids and would probably be fine for that situation, but the twin room is the smaller of the two and it was just a little too cosy for two adults and a child, so we ended up moving the futon into the slightly larger double room, and then everyone was happy with the space. As other reviewers have commented, all the beds seemed really comfortable, although slightly plumper, squashier pillows would make them just perfect.

Because the road is so narrow, overnight parking outside the cottage is extremely limited, but there is a public car park about five minutes' walk away that only costs 50p to park there from 6pm till 9am.

We thought that Isallt was very good value for money and we all agreed that we would definitely stay there again if we went back to Conwy - although looking at forward bookings for this summer, I think we would have to book well in advance!

“Pleasant stay”
Reviewed May 18, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Isallt has loads of character and is very centrally located in Conwy, most points of interest are an easy walk. This is good because parking is terrible!!The house was a little difficult to locate in the narrow street but it is roomy inside .It even has a littler courtyard. There's a good kitchen and comfortable beds.I would definitely recommend Isallt.

“Lovely”
Reviewed May 4, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

A lovely cottage in the heart of the beautiful town of Conwy.

The cottage was light, spacious, and very tastefully decorated and furnished. It was well equipped, including a good selection of books, dvds, jigsaws.

We hope to return!

Great location and very homely feel. Flexible booking dates and generally all round good choice.
Rooms spacious and information clear. Parking is a pest to get by the accommodation but plenty if cheap parking within 3 mins walk of the cottage.

“Beautiful cottage in a stunning location”

This was our second stay at Isallt, myself my husband and our 4 year old daughter first stayed in October 2012 for 3 nights and had such a lovely time we decided it was well worth the 3.5 hour drive to stay again, this time for 5 nights!

The cottage itself is absolutely lovely, it has an idyllic home from home charm, with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. The living room is lovely and homely with a wood burning fire, dvds etc, the kitchen was fully equipped and the dining area brilliant- we ate dinner in most evenings and it was lovely being able to cook with all the utensils/equipment there for you. A downstairs cloakroom was also a luxury for us- particularly with a small child!

Upstairs was fab too, a stunning master bedroom which was spacious and charming with plenty of character, and the second bedroom (with twin beds but I believe this can be set up/rearranged as required) was fantastic for our daughter. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower and bath tub.

The entire cottage is furnished tastefully and feels warm and welcoming. A lovely touch was a welcome note from the property manager and a delicious loaf of local 'bara brith' which we enjoyed over a cup of tea!

And something which was very important to us...it was spotlessly clean and you can tell the property has been maintained to an extremely high standard.

The area of Conwy is beautiful, we made the most of wandering around the shops, walking along the castle walls and looking at the boats- not to mention visiting the smallest house! We also made a day trip to Llandudno which was not a long drive and we had fantastic weather- we loved the cable car ride which gave stunning views for miles.

All in all- would definitely return to Isallt, we hope to make it a yearly family trip now, and would recommend the cottage to everyone!
