“Lifts the heart”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I'm lucky enough to live in the Conwy Valley and when I'm returning from a trip, long or short, driving across the road bridge, with the castle and suspension bridge on one side and the view of the estuary and the quay on the other, always lifts my heart. Whether the tide is high or low, regardless of the weather, it's a beautiful vista, conserved with love for those who live there and those perceptive enough to visit.

“Conwy Quay”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

Conwy Quay is part of the World Heritage site and has been tidied a lot of recent years. The scruffy shacks have gone, so from the Smallest House in Britain to the mussel shop and the lifeboat station, the town walls are the backdrop to the scene. Nets and lobster pots at the ready, boats to look at, cruises to take on the river (you have a better view of the Quay from the river). It has to be admitted that this side of the Town Wall is not so impressive as are the others, but you can walk out along the wing wall by Porth yr Aden and peer into the river, imagining yourself as a sentry of long ago, It would be better if cars were not allowed - it is alas possible to use the Quay as a rat-run from the High Street to the bridge, so you have to watch your step. The Conwy Feast is held here every year, with food from all over Wales - recommended.

“Good views”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

The Smallest House which is on the quay was closed on our visit so we were only able to view the outside and take photos. The quay area is flat for walking and seeing the estuary. Visit the RNLI boathouse and shop.

“Great walk”
Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

If you are in Conwy , your visit will not be complete without a walk here. Enjoy the medieval town with a castle , amazing views and superb photo taking spots . We had a lovely time in the quay and in Conwy in general . Would recommend for a nice day out with a family.
