Genuine pub with traditional feel to it. Good selection of real ales and excellent pies from local butcher. Glad to see that they didn't serve shots.

Visited with friends based on a recommendation. We tried the beer tasters which is a wooden carrier with 3 one third pint glasses filled with your choices of beers. A great way try new ales. We settled in the snug which was beautifully warm. A great place for a drink & chat as there's is no tv or music to over power.

a reviewer commented that the pies were expensive . I beg to differ-they aren't cheap but they are lovely. fillet is more expensive than braising steak. Friendly staff give great advice and a fantastic selection of ciders. could not fault the place.

Thank you for such a kind review! A perfect comparison to what we see also.
The pies from the multi award winning butcher aren't ever going to be cheap, but like you say it's quality!
Will pass on your kind words to the staff, hope you'll join us for another cider again sometime in the future

Down to earth traditional local pub in the heart of Conwy town centre.
Great choice of well kept local real ales and local gins
Food offering limited to pickled eggs, pork pies and pork scratching though!

Had a superb evening at the Albion last week, and as usual there were a wide range of real ales so we settled down for a chat in the Snug, which wasn't too busy for a change. When we came to leave my wife mentioned there were dog hairs on my trousers and she also had them on her skirt... The bench seat where we'd been sitting had a fine coating of hairs from where people had allowed their pets on the furniture. Although we don't have a dog at the moment, we think it's good to allow well behaved pets into a pub, but please not on the furniture.

Thank you for leaving us a review.
Trip advisor is great not just for hearing the good stuff but also the bad..
I'm glad your experience wasn't a total disaster and that you did on a whole enjoy your visit.
Like you say we are a dog friendly pub and k9 friends are always looked after. However we do not allow dogs on furniture.
I can only apologise for this unpleasant experience, sadly it would appear this doggie would have snuck under the radar. We will continue to try and be extra vigilant to ensure this doesn't happen again.
Sorry and thanks for your review.
We hope to see you again soon

One of the best old style real ale pubs I have ever been in to in many years of drinking - makes me sound like an 'alkie', but seriously all the ales on were local, and all delicious. Previous visits to nearby Anglesey had with a few exceptions been disappointing, with mainly some v average Robinson's on offer.

Dog friendly, funny and helpful bar staff, and delicious pork pies sourced locally which really must be tried.

In the words of Fu Manchu - I will return

Spent a week in Conwy and The Albion became our pub of choice. A great choice of real ales and cider. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Its nice to go to a pub that is still a pub and relatively untouched and knocked around to fit in with the gastropub fad.

Good afternoon and thank you for your review.
I'm glad you enjoyed your time here, as you say we have been very lucky to have been left with a building still as it was all them years ago.
I shall pass on your kind words to our staff and we hope next time you're in the area you'll stop in to try another one of our fine ales .
Cheers
