Worth every penny of the small fee to view a place where a family lived all those years ago! three rooms, who slept where or did they all sleep in the main room by the fire I suppose we'll never know.
the engineering is astonishing for the age they know what they were doing back then.

For a £1 to walk over it (free to NT members) and to get close up for photos, it's a great way to arrive at the Castle.

We parked by the bridge and walk across to get to the castle. If you pay a pound you can go in the gate house a see where 2 adults and 4 children lived. The house has only got 3 rooms so where they slept is a mystery. The bridge is one of Thomas Telfords design. It is national trust so you can get in for free if you are a member.

If you have been to see the Menai Bridge you will enjoy this, not on the same scale of the menai but still a bridge to be wowed by, you can walk over this bridge now as it is not open to traffice, it's another telford bridge and definatly worth a look and some cracking pictures can be taken of the bridge from the castle walls

Yes, its a bridge and yes, it does stand in the shadow of the castle, but its still a gem In wales treasure chest.
For a pound you can cross the bridge and have a look round the house at the end.
the young lady who was there when we went was lovely and was always on hand to answer our questions.
Go and pay it a visit. it costs a pound!
