We have been to the Greyhound Vaults on several occasions and have never had anything less than an excellent meal there. Lamb Sunday lunch is (as my good mate Lord Justin of Kaerdiff says) "too die for"!
Nothing too fancy, just excellently done home style cooking, good portions, excellent flavours, extra lamb gravy in a boat. Not just outstanding for the Sunday style lunch, but all other dishes very lovely.
Don't care about 'dated decor' etc. The only minor criticism is that, on a cold day, the place can be bl**dy freezing. This can be cured by tipping lamb gravy over the crotch/leg area.
