“If you're Wheat free you MUST head here!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Have never seen such a great choice of wheat free cakes. We ordered whole cake for daughter's boyfriend at about 4pm one day and picked it up 9.30am next day. They let us put candles on it and sit and have a piece with drinks before embarking on our 6hr journey back home -wish we lived nearer -we'd be regulars! One of the rare places I've found that has Red bush tea but there was no "ordinary" decaff tea which 2 of our group usually drink - but they were quite happy as the hot chocolates they had instead were great. Highly recommended - lovely jewellery made from broken pottery for sale too. Only found it because I'd spotted sign at end of alley - keep walking all the way up to the top on left.

“Scrummy Cake Heaven”
Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

This is a cake café as opposed to a coffee shop. Well laid out, plenty of seating not overlooking each other. Well stacked book shelves.
They give a loyalty card, free cake with every tenth cake bought - change from a free coffee.
I had the special offer of home made soup and crusty bread with a large slice of chocolate and raspberry cake and a coffee to follow for £8:50. The soup was delicious, full of chunky vegetables, 2 slices of rustic brown bread. The cake was chocolate heaven and my coffee nice and strong, just the way I asked for it.
A very pleasant way to while away an hour our two.
