A nice change and experience of life on a farm. Waking up in the morning to the sights of cows instead of cars ! We had never stay in a farm and it was kind of Carol to arrange a tour to give us an insight into the working of a farm.
It was certainly pleasant surprise to arrive at the farm after a 5 hour journey and be served with tea and cakes instead of just the usual check in. Carol also serve the best bacon we have ever tasted.
Thanks Carol for a pleasant stay!

Room Tip: We stayed in a double bed room and a twin room and two were excellent.

My wife and I stayed at Carol's farm on the recommendation of the local tourist information. It was a good recommendation with a homely atmosphere accommodated in high ceilinged, comfortable room, plus en suite. Breakfast was a distinct highlight with an excellent, freshly cooked full meal. Carol was particuarly friendly and deserved her place in the Friendly landlady award to be found on display in the hallway.

Prices are very reasonable for what is provided in this B & B.

It is a rural setting but not difficult to find and very convenient for Abergenny itself. Be prepared for entertainments from the livestock on this small, but busy farm!

Room Tip: A small B & B and I doubt there is much in it. Rooms are named after hops; a key product on this...

We booked a triple family room for a short weekend break and cannot fault Carol, the owner for her extremely warm welcome and hospitality. The room was spotless with comfortable beds plus unexpected extras such as fresh milk for tea and coffee and victoria sponge awaiting our arrival.
Nothing was too much trouble for Carol and her family and we really enjoyed a short tour of the farm.
Would definitely recommend this.

My friend and I stayed at Harwick Farm for one night last weekend. We were very impressed from the moment we got there. It is in lovely countryside settings with cows roaming the fields. Carol, the owner couldn’t was so welcoming and couldn’t help us enough from the moment we arrived. She booked us a table at the local pub as we were running late. We had a twin room with a bathroom. It was so clean, and we were provided with a kettle with teas/coffee’s/hot chocolate, and even home made carrot cake. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely lovely too. As we were leaving the BnB, Carol’s husband showed us around the working milk farm and it was so great to learn a bit about it too. The BnB had a really friendly, family feel about it and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. I give it 11/10 in every way!

Hardwick Farm offers all one can ask from a B&B. The rooms are light and spacious, the bathroom is spotless and of a decent size as well, and hospitality is certainly a priority for the owner. She will always make sure you have everything you need, be it milk for your tea, biscuits or hints on what to do in the area. The Farm is just outside Abergavenny and ideal if you want to explore the National Park. They also have loads of information leaflets, books and brochures. Breakfast is served with a love for detail, you just have to order a soft boiled egg, just so that you can see the knitted little man keeping it warm!
Hardwick Farm is a working farm and their milking robot is well worth asking to see.

Hardwick Farm B&B is a great place to stay when visiting the Welsh Brecon Beacons. The welcome we received from Carol, the owner, was so warm that we felt at home right away! The room was spacious, well furnished and extremely comfortable, and had all the extras found in a top hotel, including bottles of water, toiletries, fluffy dressing-gowns, etc. There was a great choice for breakfast, and we chose a 'full Welsh' which was particularly tasty. We didn't have time to visit the self-milking cows but could see the young calves from our window. We had been given a FarmStay voucher as a present (Hardwick Farm is in the FarmStay scheme), and we had such a lovely stay that we've decided to give a FarmStay voucher to a family member so that they can have the chance to enjoy it, too!
