Hi stayed in llanstanffraed court hotel for its one night seven course taster. Lovely warm courtoues welcome from staff. Made to feel nothing was too much trouble. Bed was very comfortable. Excellent toiletries. Well what can i say about the food without sounding gushing. It was outstanding, beautifully presented, extremely tasty and faultless. Would love to do it again. Well done the chef and staff for making the place so special.

We stayed at Llansantffraed Court Hotel on a special break that included a 7 course taster menu and breakfast. The food was excellent and so was the wine. Our bedroom was very well appointed with an extremely comfy bed, very clean with beautiful views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. An excellent full Welsh breakfast sent us off on our way. Very enjoyable. would recommend this hotel and this package as being extremely good value and the hotel is most worthy of its 4 star 2 rosette status.

Room Tip: We staying in Room 19. Large bathroom, beautiful views and excellent comfy bed.

This latest visit to Llansantffraed Court Hotel was to sample their renowned High Tea and it didn't disappoint. The Hotel is beautifully set in the rolling Welsh countryside in a former country house with it's own park like gardens, featuring a lake. We braved the (somewhat bracing) April temperatures to take advantage of these and to admire the snow capped Sugar Loaf mountain nearby.

Then indoors to the comfort of the drawing room in front of a blazing log fire, where the High Tea (well up to expectations) was served on a large wooden platter.

All in all, a very pleasant excursion which I am happy to recommend to others. This was our third visit ( including my sons wedding three years ago - a big success) so we had little trouble finding the place. It is a little hard to find the first time around and doesn't seem to feature on most Sat Nav systems either. But perservere, since the overall experience is well worth the time taken to find your way there.

As with every visit to Llansantffraed Court the hotel was perfect (it's had a few touch ups and refurbs) the staff met the usual wonderful standard that the hotel demands and afternoon tea was perfect. Well worth breaking the diet for! We had a lovely few hours in front of a roaring fire and the staff had that wonderful skill of being absent until you need something then magically appearing.

Thank you for a lovely afternoon

Room Tip: A lovely family hotel but even better for a romantic trip for 2!

We went to Llansantffraed Court over the Easter Bank holiday on a Travelzoo Offer which was an outstanding bargain. Llansantffraed Court is a lovely building in extensive grounds

The hotel is handy for Monmouth, Abergavenny Brecon and for those travelling further south and west in Wales. It was not easy to find despite being well signed at the entrance. Check-in was efficient and friendly. Llansantffraed Court stands in pleasant grounds with attractive countryside including views of the Brecon Beacons. Well away from the road it is very quiet and delightfully peaceful. The building is well appointed and adapted; it all feels like purpose-built accommodation with character and charm. Facilities were excellent

We had a spacious, second-floor room with views of the lake and hills. It was a bit cool despite our latish check-in but some rapid adjustments and auxiliary heating soon had it cosy. The bed and chairs were comfortable. The décor was attractive and everything was in good condition. The bathroom was excellent and even had a choice of shower systems! There were the usual tea and coffee making facilities. All requests were quickly sorted by friendly, efficient staff. The bed, sofa and chairs were comfortable.

The restaurant was well run; all the l staff were excellent, well trained and attentive. Above all, they had the correct balance of good service, friendly approach and professional manner. It made the seven-course tasting menu a real pleasure. The food was outstanding; we also had the wine flight with the meal which included a local sparkling wine. The selection of wines was an excellent match, good price and generous.

Breakfast was individually served which is preferable to a buffet. The choice was extensive including local specialties and individual requests were catered for on request. Checkout was pleasant and efficient. An excellent stay, which we would be happy to repeat.

Room Tip: Possibly better views from 1st Floor

Haven't been since our wedding in 2010 and bought a voucher for a night and 7 course tasting menu. We received a very warm welcome and were upgraded to the bridal suite. Food was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed the menu (one course was changed due to dietary requirements for me, the substitute was also excellent). Still one of my favourite places to visit & we'll certainly back.... Most likely with a few others!

Room Tip: The bridal suite is a lovely sized room with two large windows looking out onto the garden.

We have just returned from an overnight stay on a Travelzoo voucher......7 course taster menu, accommodation and Full Welsh breakfast.
GOOD POINTS....
1. Fantastic location,impressive building,with beautiful scenery.
2.Staff were superb, so friendly and helpful, treating you like part of the Family.
3.Food of a high quality, the Taster menu was a revelation and probably the best breakfast I
have ever had.
4.Our room was lovely, spacious, clean, bathroom with walk in shower and panoramic views
Over the surrounding countryside.

BAD POINTS.......
1.Hotel Policy permits customers to bring their dogs to stay and sleep in the rooms, only
downside to this is that some public areas ie Bar etc smell a bit of doggy odour!

On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definately return. The Staff are a
credit to the Business especially Charlotte and the Night Porter Ken. Nothing was too much
trouble, and we were treated as if they had known us years.

We stayed in room 19 which was really lovely, big bed flat screen tv lovely views, and also tea
And coffee facilities available.

Room Tip: Room 19 lovely.
