I often visit Nicholls Coffee shop for a lunchtime snack and end up having a meal. The food is all locally sourced and is of good quality. Its popularity is evident in the number of people queuing for a seat, even mid-week. I always visit with my daughter, who is a vegetarian and there are always several well- conceived items, a rarity in most restaurants that often offer nothing more imaginative than a quiche. This week's vegetables were exceptional, in fact, I could have eaten a whole plate of the red cabbage. There is a limited, but good range of desserts, all of which are locally made.
