Old fashioned but great food and drinks. Well worth a visit, especially in the summer.

“Country Pub/Restaurent.”

Lovely setting with plenty of parking, but found it lacked real atmosphere. Food was better than average, but would have liked a more friendly staff to make it really special and stand out.

“A bit up its own Wotnot”
Reviewed November 18, 2011

The Clytha Arms enjoys a very good reputation, and we have been there twice. On both occasions there had been a private function the night before, and the cooks couldn't be bothered to offer food to us or anyone else, except on the second occasion when some local VIP waltzed in with a small party and was served. We were offered sandwiches but they didn't appear in 25 minutes so, being hungry we left to seek more accommodating pastures. It felt very unfriendly. We appeared to be interlopers who just got in the way. That's their loss. We've recently moved to the area, but have resolved not to go there again.
