Brilliant little B&B with very friendly and helpful owners. We didn't realise that it was positioned within the walls which was a nice suprise and only 1-2 minutes walk into town. The tea and biscuits and a sit down in the lounge were well appreciated when we arrived, thank you. The room was spotless and with a very comfy bed needless to say we slept very well.

The afternoon that we arrived we visited the castle which took us a good few hours to look all around so leave yourself plenty of time but good value at £5.05. And in the evening we ate at a Greek restaurant called Ouzo and Olives which was recommended in the hotel room information book along with some others and lived up to the recommendation. The only negative of the whole weekend was the weather on Sat but luckily they provided their own Caer Menai umbrellas which was a nice touch as we had forgotton ours.

On Sunday we walked along the Menai Straits and the the bridge which is stunning sceanary with lots of photo opportunities.

We stayed here for one night and it was the nicest room we have stayed in (room 7) in a guest house in UK. Lovely decor and good view.
Good value for money and breakfast very tasty too.
Bed comfy and also nice and quiet, so a good nights sleep was had.
    Thank you.

Only stayed one night but I don't think we could have found anywhere better for all the reasons in the title of this review. The Caer Menai is in a quiet street just inside an arch of the old city wall and 200 yards from Caernarfon Castle. The house is full of Victorian character inside and out. Everything is spotless, well presented and thoughtfully organised. There is a pleasant welcome, a nice dining room and a generous breakfast. The streets around are full of pubs and bistros and nice little shops. If you are stopping over anywhere near this area, base yourself in Caernarfon at Caer Menai and you won't regret it.
I read in other reviews about the lack of parking. There is on street parking all around this area which is restriction free after 5pm mostly and a car park inside the city wall two minutes away. We actually parked in Church Street 20 yds from the guest house and I couldn't see any restriction signs where we were although the streets all around were limited between 9-5. If you are coming by car, I don't think parking is going to be too much of a problem.

The guest house is within the town walls and we still managed to park in the street. The hosts were friendly and helpful. There were lots of little extra touches we appreciated like having a cup of coffee made for us on arrival.
We stopped in room 7 on the top floor with a view of the sea and very quiet.
