“Superb quality hotel, warm and friendly with a homely feel.”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

The hotel was furnished beautifully, extremely clean, and had a lovely warm homely feel to it. The staff were so friendly and inviting and pampered to our every need. This was a weekend away for me and husband but we would definitely return with our little girl. The location is excellent, the food fabulous. The best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Booked 3 nights in late February to celebrate my wife's birthday , looked at trip advisor as we were going to stay in another Caernarfon hotel but saw this place and liked it immediately . As we don't drive it was a bus 2 trains and a taxi to get us to this inn and it was definitely worth it . Good check in bag carried to room 15 and immediately impressed with the facilities on offer , lovely room complete with everything we needed , bed spectacular bath also as my wife loves a long soak and a good read . Bar. & restaurant busy , breakfast big selection as to what to have and served in restaurant area as this was a lot Warmer than coach house . We really enjoyed our few lazy days in the area and were sad to come home , keep doing what you are doing lovely inn we may well be back one day

Wonderful hotel, great service, good food and a perfect position to visit North Wales.
The staff could not do enough to help to make our stay at the inn very comfortable indeed. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean, large beds and well furnished, complete with wifi. Just 5 minutes walk to Caernarfon castle and Victoria Docks for a gentle stroll before dinner was very convenient.

Beautiful inn, beautiful food and faultless service.Afternoon deals on food are amazing-always home cooked and tasty. This inn has always been popular-used to come here(but not to eat years ago when in college).Make sure that you come here early enough to be certain of a table-not sure if you can book in advance. This is a lovely ,comfy, warm place well worth a visit-or two!!Bendigedig o le,lle y ceir croeso cynnes bob amser-diolch.

The exterior of the hotel shows the manager knows his business. on booking in the staff where professional and courteous. The room was smart and well furnished with it's own WiFi router giving easy and good access.
The room was comfortable and well decorated. We stayed in to eat in the pub as well, a good choice as the range of food on the menu was wide. the food was delicious and matched with a great breakfast in the morning.
I would recommend this place as a stop off or a spring board to other areas in North Wales and Anglesey. The location just inside the city walls made it perfect to explore around and is just a few minutes walking to the Castle.

Room Tip: arrive in the afternoon and visit the castle leaving the car secure in the pub carpark

Thank you for your review , we are indeed central for all north wales attractions. We have tried to maintain the olde feeling at the Inn when we refurbished it last year .It is listed building and needs care in its maintenance. We are so lucky to have a very strong work team at the Inn who take pride in the service.

We ate here both nights during our stay in Caernarfon. Really great food, fresh and tasty. Atmosphere was great in both the snug and the restaurant (which we booked for the following night). Best food we have eaten in a while!

This is a charming inn that has it all. It is a wonderful, old building set right within the old town walls. The rooms are furnished in keeping with the inn’s history yet are wonderfully comfortable. The bed gave the best night’s sleep ever and it was a really treat to have a roll-topped bath.
The food was exceptional both in portion size (would easily out-do American portions) and in taste. From breakfast to evening meal, we were treated to the highest standard of food. Oh! By the way; do book in the morning ready for your evening meal and don’t bother eating anywhere else!
The service was friendly and polite. A special mention to Michelle, who really looked after us at meal times.
This place is a keeper – we’ll be back!
