Diner here to celebrate two birthdays last week, Immediately on our arrival, staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. The menu was not too exhaustive with some specials also on offer. We opted for the small a la carte menu. An attractive display of "nibbles" arrived to get the palate going and once the order was taken an other attractive display of small breads arrived. We ordered two pork and one fillet steak. They arrived nicely presented. The fillet steak was a good size and most tender. The pork dish, was a good choice, It was absolutely divine, a small piece of pork loin wrapped in thin ham, slow cooked belly pork, so juicy and tender, unbelievable home made black pudding, "lush". I could go on. It was faultless and a meal I would certainly endorse and order again. Puds and cheese followed and the presentation of the cheese with home made port jelly, relish and biscuits was well presented. The gooseberry trifle that I ordered did not have the same attention to detail as the mains but the bowl was empty and cleaned quite quickly. Would we return. Absolutely an unanimous YES by us three of us. Da iawn Blas.
