“Beautiful, cosy little cottage with stunning views.”
Reviewed December 29, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

Myself and my daughter arrived to a lovely welcome of a Christmas tree with lights and a card and gift from Louise, the owner. She came to welcome us and asked if we had any questions. The cottage is very well equipped, there was even fresh milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and biscuits on the table in the cosy kitchen. I highly recommend a stay here to anyone who wants a peaceful holiday. Caernarfon town is only a few miles away, which has the famous castle, great places to shop and eat out. We will visit again. :-)

“Secluded location with great views and a local request halt on the Welsh Highland Railway.”
Reviewed August 23, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The mile or so drive down a single track road was worth it for the great views across the Irish Sea and over to Anglesey as well. The location felt remote even though it's only about 4 miles from Caernarfon. The kids were able to play outside in total safety. The cottage itself is well presented, maintained and clean through out. It only has two bedrooms but both are quite large and the four of us didn't feel at all cramped especially given the outside space available. Best of all it was only a 2 mins walk down the drive to Tryfan Junction station on the Welsh Highland Railway. We travelled on the railway by waving down the train to stop at "our" station and requested that the train stopped for us on the way back. The train could also be seen passing by from the house itself. Being a rural location we had to contend with a 6am alarm call from the local cockerel. The downstairs ceilings are quite low so if you're well over 6ft tall you might be in danger of banging your head. Not a problem for anyone in my family.

Lovely well presented cottage nice and cosy accommodation, Had a great week with the family, Cottage is well located for exploring the local area ideal for those who like the outdoors, plenty of walking route to explore, with added bonus of the narrow gauge railway and the end of the drive what more could you ask for,

“charming cottage in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed August 23, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

excellent place to stay, and also a good base for surrounding areas. Louise, the owner, was very friendly and helpful without being imposing at all. My grandson enjoyed feeding the chickens every morning with cornflakes, It was lovely watching the steam train from the welsh highland railway go past the bottom of the garden at various times of the day, all in all an idyllic holiday, we would all definitely return.

“Great cottage, with great scenery.”
Reviewed October 23, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Our stay with Louise and Rosie was great. Lovely cottage, the way I hoped it was. All was clean and well equiped. We stayed with a family of 4, incl. 2 teens, for 1 week. Loved the surroundings and our trips. Climbed Mount Snowdon, horseback riding, spotted dolphins in Cardigan Bay, sea kayakking along the coast of Trearddur Bay, round trips by car. All was great. After day trip, it was always fine to return back home to the cottage.

“Most lovely cottage in a beautiful landscape”

I stayed at the cottage with a friend of mine for three nights. Despite very wet weather conditions we totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everybody.

The landowner was extremely nice to us and helped when we were having questions. The cottage is next to a small farm with sheep, chickens, and a horse.

The cottage itself was extremely tidy and well furnished. Given the low price of the cottage we were positively surprised. One is even able to see the sea which is several miles away.

We were there by foot which is possible, since the next bus station in Bontnewydd is about 1.5 miles away. Surprisingly, buses to Caernarfon go several times an hour.

We enjoyed our stay a lot and hope many other people will discover this amazing place.
