We'd been out for a weekend of walking in Snowdonia, so we needed somewhere to have a slap up meal to finish our stay - The Black Boy Inn came highly recommended and didn't disappoint.
They also let us bring our own wine, a few special ones, and pay corkage on them. Always sign of a good place to eat.
Food was excellent, probably a little bit too much fat on the pork belly for some, but overall the product is locally sourced and you can tell - particularly the lamb shank.
The waitress got us to order in Welsh, which was excellent fun and helped get good banter going.
We were in the back room which has been smartly converted for larger groups.
Only complaint would be the booking system. Once you've reserved you get an email saying you need to pre-order your food, but then when you go into the system it says 'No Menu'. Emailed the pub and got an email back going "Don't worry about it" but then you get repeated emails from this new system saying "you haven't pre-ordered, if you don't pre-order" etc.
