Can't recommend highly enough. The cottage was one of the best we have ever stayed in - the whole family loved it - comfortable, well-equipped - but also lots of fun for the kids - the snug on the mezzanine was a real hit with them! Brilliant location for all the walks and attractions around Snowdonia, as well as the coast and Anglesey. Angharad couldn't have been more helpful, offering us plenty of information about places to visit, etc. When we visit the area again we will certainly plan to stay here.
Totally exceeded our expectations beautifully furnished and every detail carefully thoughtful. We have had a lovely week in the cottage and would like to take it home with us!! Dogs had a great time too lovely long walks and snoozes by the log burner heaven!! We had snow for 2 days and made the trip even better thank you so much
Tyn Y Weirglodd is without doubt the best home from home cottage we have ever stayed in. It is extremely well appointed throughout and the owners have taken a great deal of time and effort to ensure that you have a great time when in the cottage. It is quirky with lots of nooks and crannies to use for reading, TV, computing or for just having a little time away from the rest of the family. The wood burning stove was very efficient and welcome at the end of a day battling the Welsh winter weather. The cottage is situated in a great location, on the edge of a village which has a local shop and a pub which has in its basement the Snowdonia brewery. Great if you like real ale which I do. In spite of the rather inclement weather we experienced, not unexpectedly I hasten to add, we all had a really great time in Wales and would have no hesitation in returning to Tyn Y Weirglodd any time in the future. Finally, Angharad made the whole booking, arrival and departure experience very straight forward and was available to us throughout our stay should we have needed any help. All in all a very satisfying experience not to be missed if you're visiting North Wales.

Nestled on the edge of the village of Waunfawr, Ty'n y Weirglood cottage oozed charm and coziness. The cottage had been newly refurbished and tastefully decorated, and there was a terrific attention to detail to ensure an authentic Welsian experience. The beds were ridiculously comfortable - I've hadn't slept so well for months- and the owners made sure that the cottage was fully equipped. Everything we needed was there. We got to sit outside and drink wine as the sun was setting - the mountain view was breathtaking. Twice a day you hear the sound of the Welsh Highland Railway narrow gauge steam train as it passes through the village and makes a pick up at Waunfawr station - which was 5 mins walk away - taking you either to Caernarfon Castle or Porthmadog, or up to the peaks of Snowdon. Generally, very well placed in terms of driving around to the surrounding attractions, be it coast or mountains, or some of the picture-box villages. Highly recommend Bounce Below if you have active children (booking essential)! To conclude, a perfect holiday rental, ideal for two families. Highly recommend.
Ps. I thought it was a cliché, but there really are an awful lot of sheep in Wales!!!
