Good food and a good crowd, fair price on the beer. Shame pubs in Bangor are so far apart, bit of a walk with my bad leg

Had visited for a drink once before Xmas and found the place to be quite nice. Noticed a fireplace which was a plus. I regretted my return for food. The food was advertised as homemade. I think a microwave meal would have been better. Plates had finger marks on the sides, chips appeared to be frozen, portion sizes were small & generally tasted half-cooked. I went to get another drink whilst I was waiting for food, which had already been too long, only the barman was nowhere to be seen! To my surprise it appeared he was cooking the food too!! After the shoddy service & poor food, we went to another pub down the road, where they at least smiled when taking our money!! The place did have the feel of a traditional pub, so was a shame about the negatives mentioned.

Popped in here for a few the night before my daughter's university open day. Warm welcome, had some of their Harp Inn ale (£1.99 a pint) very drinkable! A young clientele, but everyone was polite & chatty. Recommended

Thought I'd give this place a try, sorry I did now tho.1st 2 ladies at the bar didn't have a clue how to do a shandy!! Really girls, should be ashamed of yourselves.food wasn't that good either.flavourless roasties, & bland veg..meat was ok, but the gravy was like tasteless and way too thick.could have painted walls with it.never again.
