This is the second time we've been in here, the first time we made the mistake of having something sensible from the menu, like fish & chips, not that there was anything wrong with that but the others in our party were obviously better researched and went for the stotties.

You can have a half stottie or a full stottie, with a choice of fillings. For a hearty, filling meal, just go for a fish finger & fish finger stottie, sets you up for the rest of the day!

This was a fun pub. The pub is next to the pier. The food was good. The Yorkshire pudding was excellent . Very large. My daughter and I shared it. The beef pie was also very good. The staff was friendly.

Inexpensive simple bar food well put together in huge portions. Good beer, well pulled. Fab location right across from the lovely Bangor Pier. We'll be going back time and again.
We three had: giant yorkshire-pudding with sausage, chips and veg & gravy; veggie sausages with egg and chips & beans; and double egg and chips & peas; with 1 pt ale, 1 pint bitter shandy and 1x cup of tea -about £20 all-in.
Just make sure you check food-serving times as mealtimes are limited.

Ate here after a friends recommendation, we visited on a Saturday evening and it was quiet but had a nice atmosphere. We had 4 meals for £24, two gammons, a lasagne and sausage and chips in a giant Yorkshire pud, all was very nice and all were very generous portions, my husband was also very impressed with the ale. We had other plans so only stayed for the food and a drink each but we'll definitely go back for drinks or to try out the quiz.
