would recommend this place to anyone looking for very good value meals, we had two excellent meals for a tenner, with a nice view of the menai bridge.

“RUBBISH FOOD & BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Just had a meal here, understandably itis busy being fathers day... But they had an offer 3 course meal £10. 2 of the starters wernt available, so I had prawn cocktail. It came splattered on a plate (not in the correct dish like the table next to me got!) n they wer warm! Then I had fish & chips, the fish was like mush! My dad had wexford chicken which was meant to b chicken breast, but looked more like to lumps of coal covered in sauce. Complained to the manager n she had no empathy or explanation, no compensation was offered (not even a coffee!) she was rude. Do not go here!! First n last visit! #disgusting!

“Good value inn with good views”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Good points. Two main meals for £10 for the two is certainly good value and our particular meals of pork strips and the Chicken curry were of a good standard and tasty. Drinks also reasonably priced. Wonderful setting next to the old Menai Suspension Bridge ( a Telford design and a listed structure) to Ynys Mon ( Anglesey). Very good seating outside with the view. Service reasonably friendly.
Not so good points. I first visited this inn 25 years ago and it is clear that the tables, seating, carpet and décor all haven't changed since then. One seat with back out of frame, chipped and discoloured paint in main areas and toilet doors.

“One of the best pubs!”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

Years ago while I was working in Bangor, I used to frequent this pub as it was a great place for food and drinks. And it still is, as I found out from a recent visit while touring the area with family. The pub is very near to the beautiful Menai Bridge, overlooking it.

“Great Place to Eat”
Reviewed May 30, 2013 via mobile

We have just had another lovely meal here. Despite being very busy, the staff were friendly & efficient (especially Ali who served us).We had a half hour wait for meals but didnt mind because we were told that when ordering. All our meals were hot & tasty.Family of four....with meals two for £10,it's great value food. The waitress was friendly even though she was extremely busy. The setting is lovely ,right next to the Menai Bridge. We will definately return soon for a great value family meal.
