We were visiting Bangor Uni for an open day and decided to make a weekend of it by staying overnight, and what a find. The Management centre is actually on the campus, its in a beautiful building overlooking the Menai Straits, even though the uni was busy this is a haven of peace. The rooms are smallish but well furnished and modern, no old well used stuff here, ensuite was sparkling clean with complimentory toiletries and lovely fluffy towels. We didn't use the dining room for evening meal but menu looked nice and if breakfast was anything to go by, then i'm sure it would be very good.
You don't need to be going to the uni to stop here, in fact we have already promised ourselves a return visit just purely to enjoy the fabulous area.
The Management Centre is peaceful, comfortable and great value for money.

We where looking for some to go for a nice break away for the weekend. A quick search on late rooms in North Wales brought up The Management Centre. It looked very modern and well equipped which it unusual in North Wales hotels tend to be more old school. We tend to favor the more modern generic travel in style of hotel because you know what you are getting. At £75 the room was only £10 more expensive than the premier inn just out of town, but did not include breakfast. There is a car park with a side entrance but there are several flights of stairs to get to reception. It would be a good idea if guests where allowed to park in the main car park in front the main building. The reception staff where very friendly and helpful. I was offered the free WiFi login without having to ask. The room was on the second floor and was to a very high standard. The next morning the breakfast was ok but really not up to hotel standards. More of a Tesco style breakfast. This could do with improving. Quite satisfactory for the mid week business guest but needs to be up at the weekends.
All in all a very pleasurable stay. Highly recommended.

Good accomodation, great shower room but no bath, my room had a pleasant view. Could park just outside, only downside is that it was quite a trek to the room, along two corridors, down in a lift, then up stairs. Good find.

Modern rooms in an academic building. We stayed in an executive room for £59 via laterooms. (£100 if booked direct). Well worth the money. Good quality rooms and furniture, very comfortable. Breakfast was great.

A great facility with accommodation matching the best hotels with the added advantage that the staff really do care....... the smiles did not seem to be stuck on which makes a real change from the mock transatlantic sincerity so often encountered. Well done. With views over the Menai Straits and Snowdonia on the door step it's got to be hard to beat.

I stayed there for five nights during my son's graduation. It's the most "decent" place to stay there (for my standards). Nice, average sized, clean rooms, satellite TV, great sea-view, good breakfast, nice staff, close to graduation building.

The only "disadvantage" is that you can't have a regular meal for lunch or dinner. There are only 16 rooms for the time being with plans for expansion. But that's not an actual disadvantage since there are quite a few places nearby where you can eat.

Second decent place to stay in Bangor is the Garden Hotel, near the train station.
