This is a good place to go if you are after a cheap pint or meeting place for a first drink. The service in here is friendly, however at time you can find yourself waiting a while. This is also the only pub I've ever been in (and I've been to a lot of pubs) that has a single file queue system, quite bizarre!
The food is your standard Wetherspoons stuff, you get what you pay for, but if you are on a budget and don't expect to be wowed, then this is as good as any. I've eaten here quite a lot, but this was just me as a poor student getting a beer and burger or steak night deal. It was more to be social than for the exquisite cuisine.. They've only messed my order up once in about 4 years, but some of my friends have been less lucky, the mistakes are always corrected though.
Inside is spacious, furnished well, with plenty of seating - it really is good for a Spoons. Outside there is a non-smoking beer garden, which is connected to the train station (the Wetherspoons is the old train station building).
