A superb hotel, would have given it an excellent except just think its a little over priced on the rooms, as its more of a b & b with restaurant, as it has no facilities or parking.

So with that exception you have a very clean, well presented and friendly venue.

The restaurant though... is 5 * without a doubt, faultless, worth every penny, with very attentive and professional staff... both at dinner and breakfast

Room tip: Any room with a view

Hotel is amazing! Very modern rooms, spotlessly clean. Super friendly staff. Excellent food. Free wifi. Even a sea view (not all rooms). I have stayed here now, once a month for the last 12 months with work. I wouldn't entertain anywhere else in Aberystwyth now that I have found this little gem. Check out their website if you want to see the rooms. They are exactly as they appear on there.

Room tip: All the rooms are fab! If you want a sea view then just ask. It is literally over the road from the beach.

I always spend time choosing my hotels and it certainly paid off when I recently stayed at the Gwesty Cymru Hotel in Aberstwyth.
We choose a sea facing double room (no 6/blue room) which is up a few stairs and opens up to a small hallway with a very sumptuous Bath room with bath looking out to sea and a full shower unit etc. The bed was large and very comfortable and we had the bonus of two leather chairs and a table to sit and watch the people wandering on the promenade and the glorious sea.
From Check in to a lovely breakfast the the staff were warm, friendly and helpful...I highly recommend this lovely small hotel if you are visiting the area.

Room tip: Sea view is a must!

We were late booking (2 days before) so didn't get a sea view however the rest of the stay made up for it. Room was very comfortable and v nicely decorated. There were a couple of bulbs out but no problem (room 5). We didn't gave dinner there but breakfast was very good, good choice and good quality grub. We both had the Welsh full breakfast - excellent. Service throughout was spot on. Thank you!

Excellent staff, lovely food. Clean and contemporary. Some people have noted an issue with parking, but we found it easy. Free on the street for up to four hours & overnight. Would most definitely visit again
