Was travelling with a group; the hotel is 2 miles away from downtown. But there's a store nearby if you need something. I was afraid of the traffic noise, but didn't hear anything; I had a very quiet night. The staff carried our luggage upstairs as there's no lift. The evening meal was fine, so was the breakfast. The room was clean and well equipped. All in all a very good hotel for a short stay, and the staff was very friendly - doesn't happen every day !

This hotel is about 2 miles from Aberystwyth and, technically, in Llanbadarn Fawr. Easy to find on a roundabout on the avoiding road for Aberystwyth if travelling from North to South Wales. It shares the roundabout with Morrisons and McDonalds so you can't miss it.

It has its own large car park and bedrooms are on the ground and first floor (the latter served also by a lift). There are two rooms (7 & 8) for disabled guests and their bathrooms have been very well thought out. It has a "wet-floor" type shower and a wheelchair could enter and the guest transferred onto a seat in the shower area. The wash basin allows a wheelchair to fit up close, excellent.

The bright and airy restaurant (all windows on two sides) doubles up as a day-time cafe so it is possible to get a snack at any time. It seems popular with locals coming in for breakfasts, snacks and dinners. The bar area is in the same large room and has a dozen high-quality sofas for seating.

The food is excellent and the breakfasts more than adequate. The full-Welsh breakfast comes already plated but there can be no complaints about the quantity. Their bacon is to die for - two large thick-cut slices on each breakfast plate to which are added sausage, egg (they gave me two on one occasion), beans, tomato, mushrooms and a hash brown. Having helped yourself beforehand to a choice of fruit juice, cereals, grapefruit segments, yoghurt then toast and jam afterwards, I defy anyone to leave the table hungry. In any event, I'm sure the staff would accede to an Oliver Twist request for more - they are that helpful. We had no problem with a request for a second pot of tea.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Most appear to be local. The owners, Vince and Alison Morgan, are both very much "hands-on" and they seem to set the standards for the rest of the staff.

This was our second visit in a month so that says it all.

Aberystwyth town centre is not more than a 2 or 3 minutes drive but in the height of the season car parking can be a bit difficult in the town centre so you could take a bus from the Morrisons store opposite. They seem to be very frequent. There is also a retail park within walking distance - with the usual collection of Currys/PC World, B&Q, Next, Next Home, etc.

A covered entrance porch has been erected at the hotel but it is not yet finished. However, it does not cause any problem.

Room Tip: There is some traffic noise from rooms closest to the road. So the further away the better. Unfort...

Stayed here for 4 nights as was working in the area , a little more expensive than I think it should be but it done the job . Rooms a little plane ( a bit like travel lodge ) but clean and tidy , service was good at breakfast time and dinner time , food was good and there was a good choice . I Think it was one of the owners , he was very nice and polite each time we seen him or he served us as we're all the staff we dealt with over the 4 nights . I would recommend this to anyone looking in the aberystwyth area , we will again be using this hotel next year when back in Wales .

Everything was absolutely spotlessly clean, bathrooms, reception, restaurant, even the gravel in the car park. Only let down was the evening meal, felt a bit frozen and basic, which is a shame when the sea is a stones throw away, why not source local food?
We used the hotel for a one night stop over and would class as a very clean travelodge type of hotel, but with a lovely friendly family atmosphere.

Room Tip: We had a family room facing the car park, totally quiet, even though a road was nearby, very peacefu...

Stayed at this hotel for one night on business. Typical business "lodge" hotel on par with a Premier Inn. A decent bar area although the evening meal was poor. Breakfast was much better. A loud noise woke me up early the next morning from the soil and vent pipe running from the room above, not ideal. Generally a good medium range hotel and on balance would recommend. Quite expensive though for what you get. Free wifi through hotel.

We are regular visitors to this hotel, a family run business that excels in good food and good service. The rooms are fine, the location is very good for exploring all that the area has to offer. Aberystwyth town centre is a short walk away. Plenty of easy parking. Very clean. Great breakfast. Staff well trained, attentive and courteous. Our number one hotel when we are in Aberystwyth.

Attended a wedding at the hotel, was very nice, food was excellent, over all cleanliness of hotel and facilities were very good. I was a little disappointed by the room, I was expecting room in line with the quality of the rest of the establishment. I found rooms to be quite dated in decor and very basic (I've had nicer rooms in Travelodges) . Over all though, rooms were clean and staff were very attentive when required.
