“A place to think”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

On a sunny day this is a lovely spot to sit and read, or just contemplate the world either looking at the flower beds or at another angle looking like the famous statue out to sea.

“Beautiful park!”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

We loved this dramatic park overlooking the Irish Sea. It was an overcast, windy day, yet the castle ruins and the war memorial stood out on the point like a beacon. I've never seen such user-friendly ruins. Visitors are welcome to climb all over the old stones, climbing up steps to nowhere and poking through intriguing doorways to nothing.

Adjacent to the ruins is a very deluxe playground, picnic tables, miniature golf, and other entertainments. It was a bit cool for much outdoor activity, but the playground was very popular. As were the promenade and pebbled beach for dog-walking or just a stroll. Parking is a little difficult to come by. There was plenty of it, but the area is very popular.

It must be spectacular on a sunny day. Very much worth a stop, even if you're just passing through the area.

“Historic Welsh castle”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Impressive C13th ruins to wander through. Great views from the headland over Cardigan Bay. Well maintained and easily accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Entry is free and there's a kids play area and mini-golf.

“Summer activities”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

When in summer, visit the Castle ruins. Normally they put a free rock concert on, with plenty of activites for the children at the same time. (not on the stage though)! With superb views out to sea.
