“Still fantastic - excellent food and service as always”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

We visited again for Sunday lunch whilst on holiday in Wales. this is my favourite place in the country to eat. the food is always excellent and is locally sourced produce wherever possible. Service levels match the food and the overall setting is very relaxing. Will definitely visit again on my next visit to the area.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

Lovely place to eat, a little off the beaten track but worth looking for. Popped in to make a reservation for Sunday lunch and ended up staying for a meal, service was spot on and the food was just perfect - not a frozen chip or dessert in sight, there is an establishment not too far from here that could learn a thing or two!!

The lime posset and mango sorbet alone are worth a second visit.

“A just for Sunday Lunch if you are visiting West Wales”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

This excellent pub is not that easy to find but it is well worth the effort to track it down if you are in the Aberyswyth area. Set in a small delightful village this pub has been tastefully refurnished and has excellent food served by very pleasant staff. All food is sourced locally and is freshly cooked. Cockles in tempura batter were very tasty and the shoulder of pork together with the stuffing and three vegetables was very class and the lemon cheese cake outstanding. In fact it was the best that I have ever eaten.

“Hidden Gem”

This lovely pub is located off the beaten track but it is well worth seeking it out. We had a three course Sunday lunch for a very reasonable £19, each course was delicious our particular favourites were the lamb roast and the lime and ginger desert. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with tips of other restaurants to try in the area. The decor is spot on not too trendy and atmosphere was great with a mix of all ages and different size of tables. My husband tells me the ale was very well kept also. This will now be our place for Sunday lunch whenever we're in Aberstwyth and have already recommended it to a few people. Can't wait to return.
