Overall everything was good. A spectacular view of the sea from the window but the room was tired and dated. The layout of the mismatched furnature was a little odd but overall was very clean and tidy.
The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much and it was smiles all round.
The downstairs bar includes 2 pool tables, ice hockey table and fooze ball table, which is great. But the surrounding furnature had rips and was a little worn.
Breakfast was good, unlimited cereal, juice, toast, tea and coffee. The main breakfast could have included a little more but what we got was good quality.
Apart from the small details, a very good hotel and would
come again.

Tired, scruffy, smelly and defiantly not what we expected. We booked the room via the Internet but when we arrived, took one look at the room and asked if we could change it. No possibility so we left immediately, even though we had paid for the room and were not given any refund. We would never recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed overnight at the Glengower on a short visit to Aber. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable room and the excellent cooked breakfast. On the seafront and close to the town. Good value

Located on the Prom towards the cliff railway sits the Glengower Hotel looking proudly out to sea. We had the luck of finding one of Aber's few triple rooms (it also contains a bunk bed so make that a five-man room). Our large, en suite room was at the rear and therefore quiet, and came with tea & coffee making facilities. Breakfast was filling although not a massive cooked choice on offer. The bar downstairs has a phenomenal whisky selection.

Room Tip: Room 20: Aber's only 5-person room

Decent enough hotel. We had a good stay. Hotel is clean and tidy. Excellent staff, friendly and approachable. Breakfast needs some work other than that I'd recommend anyone to stay at The Glen. Good location with great views over Cardigan Bay.

We had a room with a sea view, which was very pleasant - the view, the room was just average. The room furniture was very dated, but clean. The room was on the 2nd floor so there were many stairs, as there was no lift. We are not a young couple, so we found that a bit difficult and there was no one around to help. We are very pleased that it is a pet-friendly hotel, as we had our dog with us and would not travel without her, thanks for that. The Breakfasts were superb, such a great choice, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, fruit juices etc; with a very tasty cooked breakfast also, absolutely great! We were there 4 nights, in order to visit steam railways in the area, which was great. Aberystwyth was decorated everywhere with the most incredible displays of flowers - really fabulous, we've never seen so many beautiful arrangements - a lovely place!

Room Tip: A room with a sea view is to be recommended!

Went for a family meal with a large group (we filled the restaurant). Immediately upon entering I was hit with a smell. It honestly smelled like a public lavatory. A combination of wee and cleaning product. It was really unpleasant. Fortunately I was able to tune the smell out to enjoy a meal, which was both tasty, and considering the size of our group, reasonably quick.
