Some friends had bought us a voucher to say thankyou for a favour. They knew we had enjoyed the old Browns and had not realised the change in ownership. When I say change in ownership, apart from the actual location and layout this is a much changed venue, less formal and more modern in it's offerings. The menu offers both full a la carte, fixed menu and tapas (a tad predictable in what was on offer). We went for the a la carte: We started with the bread, tapanade and olives - the tapanade was good and the bread fresh! For mains I had the Catalan fish stew, my partner the lobster, crayfish and mango salad. The lobster and crayfish were obviously from frozen - there was a pool of liquid at the bottom of the bowl - but tasty and plentifull nonetheless. The fish stew was fine - the bisque sauce perhaps too much tomato! Puddings were fine - I had cheese - but it was served straight from the fridge!!! Wines were a tad overpriced, we had the Tramin Pinot Grigio which was excellent! Service was good and not intrusive, and the servers were always willing to help! Overall, a good offering but let down by simple errrors in presentation! We have placed it very good, but we hovered between average and very good!!

This is the third time that we have visited. It would have been the fourth time but they were under water from the Severn when we visited last.
The dining area is spacious and rather nice. The food was excellent, well cooked and tasty. Our guests were delighted.

A super location.

We vowed we would never go back as the service was so appalling last time, however!!!!! We decided to try again as we love the venue so much and we can walk there. The service was excellent,we arrived very late,so understandably a few things were sold out for Sunday lunch. We both had starters that were good, chicken livers and wild mushrooms, on brioche, would have been better not on the bread as it was very soggy. The beef we had was divine, rare and plentiful.ran out of roasties but offered us alternatives,we chose the gratin which was very good. The only negatives were the Yorkshire puts we're destroyed and very brittle, and the gravy could have had more flavour but on the whole we enjoyed our lunch.

We had a fabulous evening there on Saturday. We went with another couple and enjoyed drinks in the bar area whilst looking through the menu. The selection was great & it was hard to choose. We all enjoyed our food which was cooked perfectly & accompanied with great wine. The staff were attentive, but not overly so & we were not rushed. There was a good cross section of clientel - some dining & some just having drinks, which gave a buzzing, but not intrusive atmosphere. The interior is pleasantly minimalist & the whole experience was wonderful. We will definitely go again when we are next in Worcester.
