Noise from outside was awful and went on all night, also really creaky floorboards upstairs so when outside noise finally stopped we had to listen to the people above walking around. Tried to shut the window during the night but it was wedged open.No clean towels to replace dirty ones taken, bin in bathroom not emptied and no spare roll of toilet paper. Although breakfast was very good another guest and I stood by the servery waiting for an egg for at least 5 mins and we were ignored by staff going in and out of kitchen. The hotel is in a good location and the staff, mainly, were very helpful.

Room Tip: I would definitely recommend asking for a room at the back of the hotel

I am sorry that your stay did not meet with your expectations, please be assured that I will forward your comments onto the Head Housekeeper who will take the required corrective action in order to prevent a recurrence of the lack of service from her department. My apologies also for the delay in the provision of your egg; this was as a result of the food being cooked freshly rather than over filling the buffet. Whilst our location is excellent to explore the local surroundings, the hotel is subject to the hustle and bustle of a busy city centre which is somewhat outside my control.

Standard room + broken air conditioning - open window + hear seagulls squawking all night = rubbish nights sleep.

Tired hotel that needs some investment....

General facilities are okay, staff are friendly but a bit of let down.

I will not stay there again.

My apologies that you had a disturbed stay as a result of the noise from the seagulls; something that is unfortunately out of my control although I can advise you that the local authority has a long term action plan in place to reduce the gull population in an humane way but this does take time. The hotel bedrooms do not benefit from air conditioning but I will of course forward your comment on to Head Office for their consideration.

my husband and I stayed for 2 nights during the recent heatwave, although there was no air con we were offered a fan immediately.
We were on the third floor at the front and were not disturbed by noise on the streets, despite one of the windows being open, having read previous reviews we thought noise might be an issue.

Breakfast was typical of most hotels and very good, although scambled eggs would have been my preference rather than only the fried ones on offer ( but have to say that these were cooked to a variety of hardness/sofness to suit all)

We declined the offer of Wifi on principle of having to pay for it, (not what one exects of a hotel these days, when even Fast food outlets and provide it free, ) this produced a wry smile from the reception staff- we were obviously not the first to comment on this!

parking - lots of spaces on the hotel car park, and the reception staff gave us exit passes both days and did not charge for either. This was unexpected but much appreciated.

Pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all very clean and never overcrowded.

All in all a lovely hotel in a great location, with helpful friendly staff.

Room Tip: if you are a light sleeper and staying at a weekend, then request not to be at the front of the hote...

Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and great facilities at this busy city centre hotel. Rooms well maintained and furnished to a high standard. Best value in Worcester - and it includes a big gym and pool.

Room Tip: Some rooms have adjoining doors - excellent if travelling with children.

Nothing to complain about at all, friendly staff, nice big room and reasonable price. Made a fairly stressful week business wise a pleasure. Lovely, fresh breakfast and a few other meals also great.
Plus the Aussie Cricket Team were there, which was a bonus! A bit noisy, but good fun!

I stayed in this hotel after watching a cricket match at Worcester's New Road ground. It is walking distance from the ground and is located right in the city centre and within 50 yards of the Worcester Foregate Street train station. Perfect location! I actually travelled by car and there is a decent sized car park at the back of the hotel.

The hotel is comfortable and the rooms are well appointed and clean. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit as well as a hot buffet. The service was polite and efficient throughout the stay. Thre is a fitness suite although I cannot comment on this as I did not use it.

I paid £79 for a Friday night including breakfast and there was an additional charge for car parking of £5 or £6 and considered this good value. I'm not sure I'll have cause to stay in Worcester again, but if I do I will use this hotel without doubt.

I was delighted that you had a pleasant stay; as you say we are ideally located opposite Foregate train station and just a short walk from the cricket ground. We're also near to the race course, cathedral, river and shops. I look forward to welcoming you back next time you are in the city.
