Have been to several events held at the Cathedral and all have been exhilarating. It is easy to lose yourself in your thoughts wandering around and if you get the chance , pay a small fee and climb the narrow steps up the tower.(For this you need to be reasonably able)

Glorious cathedral from top to bottom. The Tower is well worth the effort. Lots of fascinating facts and full of history.

I had no idea before we visited that Worcester had been so important. The Cathedral is beautiful, with many different decorated ceilings, the tomb of King John and the tomb of Henry V111's elder brother Arthur who sadly died some 6 months after marrying Catherine of Arragon. There is some damage from the dissolution of the monasteries which is well documented in the Cathedral. There is also still evidence of the original Cathedral which started to be built in the 1200's, well worth a visit.

Definitely worth a trip up the tower (chargeable, but not expensive). Not for the claustrophobic though or people with mobility problems (lots of small stairs.)

Nice cafe / shop on site.

Well worth the £5 expected donation (it costs £3,500 per day to keep it to its present standard!), to explore this magnificent cathedral. Contains the tomb of King John, has beautiful medieval cloisters and there are many different stained glass windows to admire. If you wish to take photographs inside you need to buy a licence (£3 from the gift shop).
