A lovely day out to explore the city of Worcester and visiting the Cathedral with a walk by the river too.

we went to the cathedral , what a magnificent building !! peace reigns supreme here apart from the organ, the grave of king john is here as is the monument to the fallen of Worcester, the gift shop has a quite wide variety , and the coffee shop a peaceful sit and just enjoy the building, take time to walk around outside and admire the blend of different styles of building , all in all you can spend all day in this one place , well worth a visit .

“Well worth a visit”

Unlike many cathedrals this one is free to visit. We climbed to the top of the spire £4 charge for adults and were rewarded with stunning views around Worcester.

“Another moving experience”

What a day spent in Worcester Cathedral. An absolutely beautiful building so well preserved. Another place where it is impossible to read the guide book whilst walking round as there is so much to absorb.

“Peaceful place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

After touring Worcester to find a parking place on a hot Saturday afternoon , we eventually found ourselves near to the cathedral. Lovely building, sandstone I think. King John buried here, also Prince Arthur (older brother of Henry VIII) and Stanley Baldwin. Beautiful stained glass windows, and enormous font! Tea and cake available in cloisters. Reasonable price too. Nothing much interesting in the souvenir shop. Members of cathedral very friendly and helpful with information about history. Peaceful place to visit and sit on hot day. And free ( but they do ask for donation).
