The company I work for have held a corporate event at Cheltenham for many years now and we have always used this hotel as our base, its in a great spot in Worcester, very scenic, all the rooms are comfortable and in keeping with the age of the building, the food is of a very high standard and the staff have always taken great care of us ensuring that our stay goes smoothly & stress free! - This year in particular Freddie,Nicky and Kate made us feel really welcome and couldnt do enough for us, we all look forward to staying with you again next year!

My wife and I stayed here for one night to attend our daughters graduation ceremony at Worcester Cathedral. We arrive a few hours before our room was scheduled to be available but were still able to check-in and leave our bags. The hotel was also more than happy for us to leave our car in the car park which is just a short stroll from the Cathedral. Our room (Room 4)was nice with a view of the river. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very modern. Breakfast was really good with a number of choices of cooked food. The bar is also good. All staff including reception, bar, breakfast and housemaids were very friendly and went about their work with a smile and a pleasant word for everyone they encountered. Overall this was a very nice place to stay and I would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel is always busy during graduations because of its location near to the Cathedral and off road parking. We strive ti give an enjoyable experience to all our guests and it is good to hear that the effort of the staff are appreciated. We share all the reviews with staff as part of the ongoing training programme.

This was our 2nd visit to Diglis House. On our 1st visit Octpber 2011 there were several issues
(primarily concerning an unrefurbished room in the main house) which we raised with the management & which were addressed.
This year we stayed in R21 in the annexe with views to the river. The room was very comfortable and well appointed, meals taken ( breakfast & dinner inc. one bar meal) were very good - prompt, well presented & served - and the staff throughout were friendly, courteous and efficient.
We have recommended the hotel to friends and we shall return next year.
It is perfectly situated for visits to the Cathedral, river and city centre.

We have jut returned from a weekend break for two, the hotel is in an excellent position by the river, with are dens and patio, breakfast is served in the conservatory and food is excellent. We had room 6 which is a superior double, the room has a large bay window overlooking the river and gardens.
The Taff are excellent and nothing would appear to be too much trouble, would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: Room 6, superior double, very quirky with old furniture but adds to character

I haven't stayed here but we've been here for drinks lots of times. Right on the river this is the perfect place during the summer time. Service has always been good & the clientele nicely dressed and well behaved!

My wife and I booked into this hotel over August this year after visiting UK from South Africa
It was a hotel that is nestled by the river with a great setting and has been there many years.
I actually was employed there in the early 1970s and has had a few owners over this period
The Hotel since then has built on a lovely annexe of rooms and conference centre with lovely rooms that are accomodated by hotel guests each room overlooks the River and has patio doors that lead unto the lawn outside. The time we were there they had a special rate on the rooms which were competitive to other hotels that were close by and in some cases cheaper!
The big problem here for guests is that the owners tender to focus more on the local visitors that frequent the hotel and who take up the whole of the hotels lawns that are spread out by the river
and was so busy that there were congestion at the bars and on the lawn to serve these locals!
Guests staying at the hotel were overlooked and service was non existent to these residents and the rooms that we were in- Annexe new rooms were very noisy and doors banging consistently because of the groups of locals drinking outside the new rooms.
Staff that were working at the hotel were far too little to cope with the amount of locals drinking at this hotel. The night we booked in there was a party in the conference room close by to our room so we got no sleep at all that day! so if you are planning a quiet and restfull break over the weekend? then dont count on this at this hotel!
We had breakfast at this hotel and it had a great conservetory that overlooks the river which was great and the breakfast was a traditional english breakfast where you can help yourself to cereals and the normal fare and the main breakfast is plated and served by waitrons
I feel the management must make the hotel resident guest the priority and pamper them and not the man off the street just coming for a drink ? also management must smile and not sour as we observed. it was certainly the aim of the owner/s to make sales on the volumes and not look at the resident staying there .

Room Tip: Dont choose a room over weekend at this hotel unless you are prepared for noise during the day and l...
