“Little slice of history”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Set in Worcester's oldest street, this house takes you back in time. From its construction in 1575, it has variously served as a private house, a tavern and a station post for air raid wardens in WW2. The Tudor room is particularly interesting with an original Tudor ceiling. Given that there are helpful guides on hand who are very informative, and that it's all free with donations accepted, it's well worth a visit.

“glad it was saved and did not become a car park”

great building close to the centre of Worcester. The volunteers in each room turn an ordinary visit into an interesting one. the building has an interesting history not least been rescued from been demolished by the eccentric last owners.

“A personal experience”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

The welcome we received from the volunteers who operate the house was second to none and provided with unstinting enthusiasm. Wheelchair users who can't access the upstairs can view a video, that's again provided as a personal service to the particular visitor. The tea room was of the highest quality too, a very nice lunch indeed.
