We stayed at the Lenchford Inn for two nights as part of a wedding party. The setting is absolutely beautiful, located nearly on the waters edge with a fantastic beer garden overlooking the boats and tranquil surrounding countryside.

The owners and staff could not have been more accommodating and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble.

The building is old and the rooms reflect this, they were clean, comfortable and well appointed, exactly what you would expect from an establishment of this nature and star rating.

Meals were good value and the portion sizes were large. We would recommend sticking to good old fashioned pub grub as the risotto got mixed reviews from our crowd. Overall though the food was well above average and was served with a smile! The cooked breakfast went down a treat.

Heartily recommended, our stay there was brilliant!

Rooms smelt musty, spiders everywhere, well spiders and creepy crawleys living happily. Friendly enough licensee but failed to tell us how to get back in late of an evening when it is about as dark as dark can get due to no external lighting. To be blunt she doesn't enjoy what she does and that will be passed down the line. The fact that this place was on' hotel inspector' a couple of years ago says it all really, they obviously didn't listen to a word they were told. I asked for my money back but didn't get a reply, we left due to the amount of spiders and the smell, the fact that we were in the so-called honeymoon suite made it all more the worse.

A beautifully situated inn with helpful staff. just a shame that the manager/owner must have been taking lessons from Basil Fawlty!
Rooms could do with being 'spruced up' e.g. broken lapshades, dodgy doors etc.
Ironically, although the hospitality tray was changed, the beds weren't made.
Food was okay.
With proper tlc, this could be an incredible place, which sadly it isn't at the moment.

the wife & myself 1st stayed at the lenchford inn in november 2008 , we were very happy with the room , restaurant , function room and the location which is fantastic , the lenchford inn is set in bueatiful countryside on the banks of the river severn .
Thats why we got married there , the riverside makes a bueatiful backdrop for wedding photo's the hospitality and food was excellent and we had a fantastic wedding day .
We have just been back to the lenchford for the weekend and had another fab weekend watching the bonfire and fantastic firework display , a great place to stay for a quiet romantic weekend .

Having been to many carveries i think we can justify our opening line!
My husband went some years ago and remembered the lenchford to be lovely.
It is not in 2009.
It is shabby and the "chef" disinterested. I would have been ashamed to give the food offered in my home to non paying guests.
As others have said, soggy veg and cauli cheese that had disintegrated some hours ago.
We did not have pudding having seen the options in the chill cabinet. Mini rolls as a pudding in a restaurant???
Such a shame as the building is in such a lovely place.
We will not be going again,
