This was a chance visit to the Priory while shopping, but I'm glad I made the detour. The Priory has wonderful Norman architecture and a lovely display (no on the wall) of encaustic tiles. The stained glass windows are beautiful and there is even the inspiration for T S Eliot's wardrobe!

Stunning ancient building, full of history and helpful guides. Set in beautiful grounds nearby parking. The windows are majestic and so colourful even on the greyest of days. Well worth a visit.

The Priory is obviously a well loved and well used place of worship and much else. A banner near the entrance proclaims the aims as Worship, Welcome and Witness. It is a must for anyone with an interest in stained glass with wonderful examples of Mediaeval, Victorian and Modern glass windows. This is a Church alive to modern needs and not just an interesting old building! If one is visiting with young children there is an area where they can play with a wooden Noah's Ark, use crayons and amuse themselves with safe toythings. There is also a shop with a good selection of very reasonably priced cards and books.

Historical and impressive building. Open daily till 5 pm. Since we could see it from our bedroom window, we couldn't not visit!

The Priory is a beautiful church, and just next to the Abbey Hotel where we were staying. There is a daily prayer service at 0930 each morning. I
