Called into the Red Lion following the switching on of the Malvern Christmas Lights. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a lovely atmoshphere. We ordered ham, egg and chips which was delicious with a generous portion of excellent chips. The food was good value for money. We would definately call in again.

Excellent restaurant and also a really nice pub offering both English and Thai food both at lunch and dinner time. Friendly service and good value. Lovely after a walk on the Malvern Hills. Recommend it highly.

We were off to see the wonderful Soweto Gospel Choir at the Malvern Theatre and a bite to eat was needed. Try to book one TA well reviewed restaurant - it had been booked for weeks. So back to TA on the iPad and BINGO The Red Lion Thai Experience was booked by phone.
Into the pub for a swift half of very tasty Ringwood Ale and the wine was OK according to the others.
Pop over the courtyard to the door into the Thai Experience. First impression - oh dear it smelt of toilets (and they were over the courtyard) !!! We almost left there and then, but places were busy, we were hungry and we had a show to go to. We ordered drinks and tried to ignore the aroma - they should investigate this!
Tasty prawn crackers and a little bowl of sweet chilli sauce each - that makes a pleasant change. Thai beer or more wine, it was all OK.
Main courses arrived, green Thai curry, chicken and peanuts, chicken curry and butterflied Tiger prawns in their shell with a lovely sauce and French beans. No sticky rice but some very good coconut rice which everyone enjoyed.
Despite the dodgy start we really enjoyed the meal and would probably go back but we might just open the door first to check the atmosphere.

Ate her alone one night just hungry after work. Had the duck with cashew nuts and my goodness how delicious. Even got to speak to the owner/chef Oui (i think thats how you spell it?) she shows a passion for her native cuisine. definitly reccomend.

Fantastic fresh thai food at a reasonable price.
Good real ale available only thing that lets the pub down is the atmosphere as it is rare for many people to be in the bar. This makes the place a bit sterile shame as the Thai food is freshly prepared and very tasty.
