Good if you have an easterly facing room, not otherwise. Rooms on the road side of the hotel are noisy. Food was very good quality and value, if you like what's on the fairly extensive menu, this Wetherspoons having a good chef(s). Politeness and helpfulness of the staff cannot be faulted. The downsides to this hotel are that: 1) it has no parking (and on-road parking in Great Malvern is very limited); 2) virtually no storage in the rooms; and 3) being on a hill and having many stairs it is not for those who have any mobility problems. If you are young and fit, carless and travelling light it would be great.

Room Tip: Rooms on east side are quieter

Had a lovely morning walking the Malvern Hills but the day was spoilt by visiting the Foley Arms. After being told the food will be 30 minutes, we were prepared to wait.Customers on a table by us had been to complain about their wait for food. This didn't sound good. After 40 minutes my husband complained about the long wait. We were given complimentary coffees. After 1 hour 15 minutes we called a waiter who told us the food will only be a few minutes and would we like a complimentary drink. I said all we want is our food and asked if he could find out how much longer it would take. About 10 minutes later he brought the food to the table behind us, so I took the opportunity to ask him again. He said it wont be long. We waited another 5 minutes and gave up. We went to the bar to ask for a refund as we were leaving, only to be accompanied by 5 other people asking for refunds too!! The bar tender (who was very rude) said the manager had left and they were short staffed.
We had a refund and drove to The Crown on Malvern Road.(2 for 1). We ordered and was served in 5 minutes flat. Perfect service! If you like good service stay clear of the Foley Arms!!

Spent one night here and was very impressed. Our family room was HUGE. Fab views, all nice and clean with comfy beds. Really friendly & helpful staff. Had a lovely breakfast too.

Can't comment on the car parking problems that other visitors have had, as this didnt apply to us on this occasion. It was great and hassle free - have stayed in Wetherspoons hotels before and they've never been as nice as this one. Recommended.

We travelled to Malvern for a family wedding from Portsmouth and the hotel was beautiful the views are just stunning. The rooms were very comfortable and tastfully decorated and the staff were really helpful - getting me an iron and ironing board for the wedding dress - and very friendly.

Dont park your car in the solicitors car park at the back of the hotel as I had all four alloy wheels stolen off my car and the window smashed. The police really werent that interested didnt even come out but the hotel staff were amazing getting phone numbers etc for me.

I would definitely stay there again

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear of the hotel have the most stunning views but in summer time you do get the people...

We booked 2 nights at the Foley Arms in Malvern. There is only parking outside on the busy road for unloading/dropping off. Then the nearest car park is the staff recommend is in Victoria road. This is £3 for 23 hrs or £5 for a week. Whilst this is only about 10 minutes walk away, it also involves 2 very steep hills down on the way to the carpark and up back to the Foley Arms. My sat-nav tells me the car park is at 390 ft above sea level and the Foley Arms is at 525. The hotel is very good the rooms are spacious and well fitted out. Reception is on the first floor and some of the rooms are on the second floor and there is no lift. The ground floor is the Pub and as it's a wetherspoons it's always busy, the views off the terrace are spectacular and if the weather permits and you can eat on the terrace it's a very enjoyable and unforgetable experience. Overall the Foley Arms is good if you are fit and are looking for a base to do some serious walking, If on the other hand you are into shopping, killer heels and restaurants try the Wetherspoons in Worcester.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel, the views are spectacular and the noise of the busy road at...

I booked 3 double rooms some 2 months before going, i did say to the lady that as we are going to a gig at Eastnor Castle could she recommend cab firms .Very helpful. Our rooms were very nice, well decorated. we had an early dinner, the waiter very good. the food just about ok. We returned after the gig at about 1130pm and headed for the bar, when i went to order a 2nd round of drinks i was told by a "lady" you have 2 minutes,i asked everyone what they wanted, turned back and she said "closed", i explained we were staying and a reply with a big smile "no differance". we sat down then a security man came up and politely said please can we leave i explained we were staying he said then you must go to bed. ! ! !
Breakfast i know its cheap but personally i would rather pay more for quality.
its my fault i should not have booked a pub with a hotel on top.
The stay started good finished bad, but as we were with our sons and their wives we had a great weekend, despite the Foley Arms Pub

Decided to try this out as normally Weatherspoons are pretty good - but not this one - the restaurant area was dirty and scruffy, poor service and food was'nt up to much either - plenty of better places to eat in Malvern - wont be going back
