Me & my husband came here for a weekend break away. We arrived to a friendly welcome from the hotels dog Hector. As we walked into reception we was greeted from a lovely member of staff who checked us in and showed us our room. Once we got to our room we was taken away from the view we had. (Cant remember the room number) the decor was next to none. The owner obviously knows what she is doing. Everything was just perfect. We was well looked after, the staff are always more then happy to help. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the lounge with tea's & coffee's and some shortbread biscuits. We didn't want to check out, the weekend was just perfect for us both. We will definitely be back and for longet next time.

Hector, the calm and friendly Airdale welcomed us and ensured we had left nothing in the car, he led us into the hotel for a friendly, warm welcome and saw us off each day with a smile. Chris & Barbara were just as welcoming too! We just had to come back here and it was warm and sunny to enable us to enjoy the gorgeous garden. The Cotford is still the place to come for a relaxing time with excellent food, cosy room, this time we tried the Waterfall room overlooking the garden and North Hill, you feel you can touch the stars from the window it is so clear and peaceful.

All of the staff are helpful yet unobtrusive and we left after three days feeling as if we'd been away for weeks. If you enjoy good food, tranquil surroundings and want to recharge those batteries, then this is the place.

Room Tip: every view from this hotel is gorgeous, the website gives good descriptions of each room

We have recently spent a fantastic weekend at the Cotford Hotel celebrating our wedding reception and cannot thank Barbara and Chris and all the lovely staff at the Cotford enough for making our day so special. Barbara and Chris were so helpful and supportive during all the planning stages and the hotel was perfect for us and all our guests. The food was gorgeous and absolutely faultless and all the staff so friendly and happy to help making us all feel so welcome it felt like our own family home for the weekend. We have so many happy memories of the day. thankyou. Christine and Matt

Despite living in Malvern for the last 28 years, I have never eaten at this restaurant before. I am not sure when the present owners moved in, but having tried the food I am glad they did. They produced well presented, beautifully cooked food. There were three in our party to celebrate my son's 28th birthday and we all enjoyed the food. My only criticism is that we were encouraged to eat earlier than we would have chosen, we were rushed through our cocktail and I suppose we were rather dissappointed that we never met the owner chef or his wife. We were served by pleasant, young rather inexperienced waitresses, which is okay, but the attention to detail by someone more experienced or the chef making an appearance would have made the experience perfect. The other comment is it is very quiet, despite faint music that made us speak in a whisper! I spoke to a friend who commented to me, yes great food but a bit starchy! In summary, a great meal and yes, I would recommend it to friends. We will return, but would love to have met the owner and his wife! Turn up the music a fraction and then people will feel confident to talk at a normal volume. So nearly perfect!!

Thank you for commenting on your visit.
To cover your points , i.e.; staffing comments, I would need to know when you visited to be more precise.
We took over the Cotford 6 yrs ago and live on site so invariably meet the majority of our guests at some point , whether on the 1st or subsequent visits. The music , we normally play at a level to allow conversation but not to be intrusive as we often end up with a request to turn the music off which we prefer not to. As for "starchy food", we cook in the "French style" with either no or minimal flour in our work , thus producing a very refined/ clean product, so I'm not quite sure where that comes from.
I'm pleased however that you enjoyed the majority of your first visit and you feel another visit/ recommendation to others could be in the offing.
kind regards
Chris and Barbara

We have visited this hotel twice a year for several years. We always receive a warm welcome from the owners and their staff. During these visits we have experienced various bedrooms - all beautifully decorated, comfy and inviting. The reception rooms are beautiful and outside the garden is amazing. The fact that we would not consider staying anywhere else in Malvern speaks for itself.

Room Tip: Rooms 6 and 14. Room 6 (The Bishop's room), four-poster bed, beautiful views, lovely for a romantic break. Room 14 has access to the garden and its own patio for sitting out and enjoying the garden.
