“Leo Sayer”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

Leo Sayer and band could have been amazing had I been able to hear them properly through the constant loud chatter and laughing of a group of people who arrived late for the concert, failed to take the seats booked, and remained standing at the bar drinking. Constant pleas by myself and others close by for them to stop talking and lower the noise level fell on stoney ground. Complaints to the Manager resulted, eventually, in the Police being called and removal of some of the group, so that the last 20 minutes of the gig were very enjoyable, unlike the first hour and a half!!
No compensation was offered for a ruined evening.
The stage lighting was very poor; there seemed to be only one light so that Leo's band was in shadow for some of the performance.
People in the first four rows downstairs could barely see the people on stage because of the height of the stage.
Nigel Kennedy is due to perform there for 3 consecutive nights. I hope his audience have a better experience than Leo Sayer's audience did.

“Quirky in this modern age”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Been to a cinema where the screen is half a mile wide and the sound comes from 300 speakers? Well if you fancy seeing a movie just like it used to be then this place is for you. Except it is not like the old days in that the sound system is modern, without being so loud you cannot hear it. What makes this place so special is it is like watching a movie at home.
What I mean by this is you can sit in a comfy chair with a glass of wine or beer and have some food on the table by you whilst watching a film on a screen that is bigger than you could afford at home. Simply the best way to watch a movie.
Oh, and if you really fancy reliving those really old days they have love-seats!

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

Fantastic cinema and just what Evesham needed!

The screen can be viewed from 2 floors - the ground floor has grouped seating around tables which makes for a great atmosphere - it also has the added bonus of a bar! So you can relax with a pint whilst watching a movie! I watched a children's movie with my daughter so selected very comfy seats (double seats) upstairs - plenty of leg room! As it was a summer viewing & a kids' movie, both adults and children were charged just £5!

The whole place makes you feel like you're stepping back in time - which is a great change to the 'norm!

I'll certainly be returning!

“Fabulous”

Best cinema EVER.
More leg room than you could ever need and you can drink your wine from glass glasses - what more do you want?
p.s - make sure you go to the loo! (Art Deco loveliness)

“Don't bother with any other cinema”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

Since going to The Regal shortly after it re-opened we have now given up going to other cinemas. It is comfortable and the personal touch of welcoming everyone before each film is superb. The local group who have brought this building back to life should rightly be congratulated. Go once and I challenge you to bother going anywhere else again unless you absolutely have to.
