I booked tickets online for my partners birthday and booked the Royal Box seats were so comfy not much head room when standing but you dont stand watching a film anyway!! but loads of leg room great if like my hubby you are over 6ft, Really cant fault it had an amazing time watching the film enjoying wine, cheese & biscuits, will definitely go again much better that Vue !!! Well done to all in the restoration it really is a gem.

“Fantastic - we love it!”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

We visited the refurbished cinema for the first time this February (we remember it from the old days). Wow! What a change! We loved it - to sit in comfortable armchairs, enjoying a beer and cheese & biscuits whilst watching an excellent film, what could be nicer. This will definitely be first on our list of cinemas to go to when we want to see a film.

“Expensive Drinks, Warm Wine, Disappointing”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

Booked online and found our seats which were on the first floor at the far end offered a very poor view of the screen. When I enquired of a staff member if it was possible to change she didn't seem surprised when she realised where we were sitting. We were given a table right at the back on the ground floor. Husband was sitting next to door and said it was noisy. Main problem was paying nearly £15 for two glasses of wine and a packet of sweets. Mine was red and like vinegar and my husband's was white and warm. Dreadful. Wouldn't buy wine at venue again. Tickets were £18.50 for two online which isn't cheap. Furthermore why do you have to pay a 50pence charge for using a card even if it is for a purchase over £10? This place is a little too in love with itself.

“A brilliant night out”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

I went with friends to see Le Mis-booked a bit late and surprised that the cinema was almost fully booked on a Monday night-shouldn't have been. The atmosphere was great-booking tickets was easy although I had to do it by phone. But by calling I was offered the chance to order cheese and wine, which was on our tables on arrival-a good selection of cheddar goat and soft cheese and biscuits. The wine was a nice mid bodied red.
We could rearrange our seats to suit and all in all, although the wine was at restaurant prices, the whole evening was much cheaper than a night at the pub and a whole lot more entertaining.

“Fantastic Cinema Experience”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

This is cinema as it should be. A superbly restored building and lovely friendly staff.
We saw 'breakfast At Tiffany's' on Valentines night and it was a really memorable experience.
Candlelit tables and glasses of wine while we watched the film. We will certainly be returning soon.
I am not generally a cinema fan but this is a superb place and a great night out.
