We were recommended this pub from a work colleague. Unfortunately this evening out of the 4 meals only 1 was any good and two were in need of being sent back and replaced.

The staff and the chefs obviously had no concept of what sticky bbq chicken and vietnamese beef look like. The beef came out as a curry without any beef and the chicken was a piece of overcooked chicken covered in a sickly sauce.

The staff were also relatively unhelpful. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

As a family we have been here many times. It never disapoints. The 2 for 1 menu is great for us as a couple and kids menu is good too, our 2 daughters never moan about what they get or choice. The specials board is always good choice and their double smokey bbq burger is great if you have a big appetite, (I order and struggle to eat but always finish.) If wanting to eat on a budget this could be the place to go.

Since their revamp, the food has improved & the choice is better.
Service has also much improved with all members of staff being prompt & courteous.
Only one small niggle, the two for one offer means that if your party contains an odd number, you miss out on the deal & are paying full price. A suggestion: Why not supply a free or discounted dessert? This would also mean that anyone visiting on their own does not miss out. For this reason Mr Manager you may be losing trade from singles or odd numbers that may want to visit!
Just a thought if your reading this review.

This is a run of the mill "2 for 1" style pub. Its always pretty busy and the food is average.... always consistantly average really :/ But saying that, nothing wrong with being average at a good price which this is! It is fine for families stopping for a reasonable tea on the way home from a day out or perhaps to meet a friend for pub lunch. Certainly not for those who enjoy a proper "gastro-pub" - atmosphere wise or food! It has a nice beer garden though with play equipment for the kids which has been done relatively recently.... big car park too which is always useful! The only thing i would say is that your husbands/teen sons will LOVE it - there is a young waitress there who wears the shortest skirts i have EVER seen! Practically indecent - most of the men couldnt stop peering lol!! Hardly appropriate though for such a family environment - myself and my friend are both females in our 20's and even we couldnt help noticing!!!!! And she was pretty surly and kept trying to make us pay our bill and leave within about 15mins of us finishing our food.... considering we had waited 45mins for it, we certainly werent going to rush!
