Although a little quiet on our visit it did not ditract from how charming this pub is both inside and out. The menu offered fairly standard fare and they did oblige with a starter that wasn't on the menu that day. All starters were plentiful and tasty, the mains of duck were good but the steaks were only average. The desert board had a good selection and the honeycombed Sundae was a delight. Coffee and mints to finish rounded off a perfectly acceptable meal. The red house wine was good, no need to upgrade, and the service from the young waitress was simply excellent. The one thing I would say is the prices are just a little more than we all thought warranted, starters should be a around £5 not £6-£6.50 and the mains a couple of pounds cheaper, not fortunes I know but it just made you think twice if you know what I mean, and although in the Cotswolds still more than equivalent places in the area.
