Once the day trippers depart, Broadway is a lovely place to stay, and Russells is a great choice for both accommodation and eating in. It's right on the High Street, though not that easy to spot. (Look for Trinity House art gallery next door and/or the War Memorial almost opposite. It bills itself as "A Restaurant with Rooms" and that's a great description. The welcome was friendly and efficient, and the room well furnished and equipped (TV (perhaps too small for some), Free WiFi, DVD player, iPod dock) so it was a very comfortable stay. The bathroom was also well appointed and very clean, though the shower temperature was a bit variable. In the main building above the restaurant is a landing with an "honesty bar" with coffee, tea, snacks, nibbles and all you might expect from an in room minibar. There are tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Parking is free, negotiated with spaces from the small supermarket just behind Russells. Just feet from the rear entrance of the hotel.

The restaurant is not open on a Sunday night, but Russells has a separate fish and chip establishment which is. Having said that, there are plenty of dining options within a very short stroll. But given an opportunity, please do dine at Russells. Perhaps the à la carte is a touch expensive, but there is a very attractive table d'hôte option available. . Beautifully prepared and stylishly served meals in a simple but stylishly elegant restaurant neatly separated from the bar area. All the staff were very pleasant indeed. Cooked breakfasts were made to order and had real freshness.

Broadway is one of the best centres to stay in the Cotswolds, with so many attractive places relatively close. It's an interesting place in itself - we followed a 40p self guided walking tour leaflet from the nearby Tourist Office which gave a very interesting and informative description of many of the properties along the high Street - some dating from 1320.

We have no hesitation, like so many other reviewers, in recommending a stay (or just a meal) at Russells.

Stayed in July although we have ate several times in the restaurant when staying in the area. The room was overlooking the main street and was furnished to a high standard. The bathroom was large with a bath and a shower again furnished to a high standard. We loved the honesty bar and seating area on the landing. You were able to have wine , sprits . soft dinks. snacks and fresh milk in the fridge etc. WFI was excellent. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good ( had the fixed menu) and breakfast was cooked to order with plenty of choice. We have just rebooked to go back for a 2 day New Eves break

My Wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding aniverasary last Tuesday and had a truly fantastic night, the staff, food and service were exceptional and we were made to feel very special. Everytime we visit Broadway we have a meal at Russell's and it never fails to be amazing.

Stayed here the second night of our Cotswold Way walk. A small touch of luxury, much appreciated. Not cheap but great value. We loved it. The owner and staff went out of their way to be helpful and mad us really welcome. The breakfast was super.
We also had lunch in their posh fish and chip shop round the corner - fish and chips taken to a new level, fabulous!

Room Tip: We were on the front of the hotel with a window seat that was great for people watching!

This was just such a great experience. We booked very late that same evening and had a dog.
We felt very welcome. The room was superb. The bathroom was paradise.
We had a delicious dinner, very original and fresh, but still not too expensive. Same for the breakfast.
Will you visit broadway or the great nature around it? Certainly book this great b&b.

From start to finish...Fabulous! Staff were excellent at all times; from giving advice to bringing ice buckets, glasses, ironing service to the room. We were upgraded from the Feature King Room to the Suite which was absolute luxury. Dinner in restaurant was superb and the breakfast on both days was quite delicious! What a wonderful venue for a very romantic few days away, it is a must. VMT to the Management and Staff of Russell's for a most splendid stay.

Room Tip: The suite was simply superb and I would recommend that little extra for a romantic getaway.

We stayed here on a Saturday night. We got upgraded, the room was lovely and the service very friendly and efficient. We had dinner here and again the food was great and service impeccable. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, we weren't rushed and had more than enough to eat! My husband left his jacket (without knowing) and they posted it back to us. Would highly recommend Russels at Broadway!
