We stayed over October 2012 half term and took our 2 girls. It was fantastic to arrive with our children after first discovering this hotel when we first met 16 years ago. The hotel still retains such a cosy luxurious atmosphere, we loved the huge open fire. The new reception area is very regal and nicely done. We were upgraded to a suite in the new extension near the car park but the room was beautifully put together, sumptuous bed, beatuiful view of garden from bathroom. The room had stylish furniture, 2 flat screen tvs, the girls' beds had lovely soft sheets, gorgeous bathroom, 2 sinks a bath and a separate waterfall shower....perfect! The best night's sleep in a hotel I've had for a long time. We all tried the pool, slightly cold for us, steam room and sauna excellent. Didn't get time for a doubles tennis match! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Tiny complaint in that on ordering second coffee pot it too was not very hot. The Great Hall felt amazing to breakfast in! Our car was valet parked on arrival...and parked in the Helipad...as you do! Broadway is such a pleasure to visit, you just feel privileged to be there. We looked in on the museum next door. We did an OS walk through the spectacular Snowshill after check out on a beautiful sunny day. I would recommend this hotel, it was a delightful experience.

We stayed at the Lygon Arms as part of a reunion of 40 people. We loved the oldy worldy charm of the building and had a very comfortable room in the new wing. The bed was enormous!
The staff were attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the dinner for 40 people let them down. It did not live up to the expectations of a hotel of this quality. However the breakfast made up for it. The village of Broadway is picturesque and we were lucky that it was a sunny autumn day when we were there and the colours were beautiful.

I had always wanted to stay here, from a child when I used to visit Broadway with my parents. I was not disappointed. When we arrived we found we had been upgraded to a suite which was situated at the back of the great hall, it was large and had three rooms, but no view out of any window, we requested to move and this was dealt with swiftly and without any fuss. We had room 36, on the first floor, which was at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road. The room was amazing and we loved it. It was large and airy, and as the windows were double glazed no noise was heard from outside. The bed was very comfortable, the chairs were too, it was very clean and had everything we needed. We used the spa and while small it was excellent. We both had a treatment and were dealt with lovely friendly staff, thank you Harriet. We ate dinner in the great hall and we were not disappointed, from the excellent service to the amazing food. After a great night sleep we had a wonderful breakfast, good fresh well cooked food, served by attentive and friendly staff. We will certainly return again to The Lygon and would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality.

Loves every minute of our stay at The Lygon Arms in Broadway.
Went away for my partners 40th birthday and stayed on a Sunday and Monday night. Rates were really good, about half of the cost for a weekend night.

Room was spacious and the shower was so powerful It was like having a massage!

Will return again, maybe at Christmas.
Thanks for a lovely stay.

What a fabulous place to stay! Bang smack in the middle of Broadway, which truly lives up to it's reputation as the "Prettiest village in England", the Lygon was super cool with its hallways, reception rooms and the restaurant was amazing! Service was excellent! My disappointment was our room; set in the "renovated" area it was very small and the furnishings were a little tired. It was way too cramped for a 2 night stay and an upgrade (Middlethorpe Hall in York upgraded as we stayed 2 nights) would have made it perfect. However, for everything outside the room..excellent!!

Room Tip: My advice would be to request a room in the main section of the Inn and firmly state NOT the poky ro...

This impressive looking hotel is set in the centre of the charming village of broadway.
Both the bedrooms and the common rooms were all charming with cozy wood burning fires in many of the sitiing areas. The food in the restaurant both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Yes there were a few creaks and groans but it is a 15th century Inn,The spa/gym was small but more than adequate and the young people staffing it were polite friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff.Overall a very enjoyable stay. The village itself is small and friendly, I can also recommend The swann inn andThe broaway hotel for a cosy drink we ate a light lunch in the swann which was very nice, the broadway has a more contemporary decor but still had the open fires, and although we didn't eat here the food looked lovely (big portions). We also visited the small provisions store just down from the lygon and came away with some lovely fresh bread, pickle, cheese etc for are tea when we got home. This was a great base to explore the lovely villages in the surrounding area and I have no hesitation on giving the whole experiance top marks. MG
