“Evening meal with our dog”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2013

We had an evening meal in the bar of this hotel. We were staying in another hotel in the village. Our dog was made very welcome in the bar area where a reasonably extensive menu was on offer. The food came promptly and was of very good quality. The main restaurant was nearly full, always a good sign. Recommended if you want to eat with your pet.

We stayed on the Friday night using the hotels Summer and sparkle offer. The room, food, bar were excellent. The bar was very busy with non residents which gave it a good atmosphere. The evening meal and breakfast was excellent. If there was a downside the carpark is small but as we arrived early wew were able to park easily.

Room Tip: Away from the bar could be a good idea if you are a light sleeper room 10 was ours

Our Wedding Anniversary at the Broadway Hotel has been great. Beautiful rooms, worth paying the extra for the suites. Special "Treat" offer, Bed, Breakfast, evening meal, champagne, chocolate and flowers. My wife was very impressed.

This hotel deserves all the positive feedback it receives. Its a perfect place to relax and enjoy the Cotswolds. We thought we had to review the hotel as we had a great two night stay which was great value for money.

It was a dinner bed and breakfast package and the food was delicious throughout our stay, the chef (don't know his name) produced terrific food and deserves a mention. The room we stayed in was facing the village green and was spacious, with a large and comfy bed.

The staff made us feel very welcome, in particular Sue on reception who seemed to always be there, Dave who we passed in the village with his dog Spud who stopped to speak to us and made the effort to say hello, an asset who will be missed when he leaves for the forces, and finally Andrea in the restaurant who was delightful throughout.

Finally, I finish by saying that this hotel is full of Cotswold charm and a brilliant place to have a weekend away at a reasonable price for what you get.

We have regularly wanted to eat in the Broadway Hotel but never managed to until last night. We arrived at 8pm and unfortunately they seemed a bit busy with a large party. There didn't seem to be enough staff. So we had long delays certainly for the main course (arrived at 8pm and at 9.15 still didn't have it). Fortunately we were so full after the starter we didn't mind, but had we been more hungry it could have been quite irritating. However that aside the restaurant ambience was lovely; the food choices excellent; food quality excellent and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. So we will certainly go back but perhaps book before 8pm!

The Broadway Hotel is a lovely old building with a modern extension in the form of an orangery where the restaurant is situated. Our room was a fair way from the reception with the access being up some stairs, through a door, along a gallery which overlooked the bar, along a corridor, up some stairs, through a door, up some more stairs, around a corner and along a short corridor.
The room itself was a good size with two armchairs, a dressing table, a large screen tv and a king size bed with bedside cabinets. The bathroom was a good size with a shower over the bath.
We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and a good breakfast the following morning. We went on a special deal which was dinner bed and breakfast for £75 each and although the full dinner was not included, they gave £28 per person towards the meal we had three courses each and only ended up paying for the wine and an extra £4 so I think it was a very good deal. I would definitely go there again.

Room Tip: request a room above or near reception unless you are happy to be on the second floor, no lift thoug...
